The Community Forum •(Torm
erly Farm Forum) had its final
meeting of the season at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Beuer-
man. A short busLnees meeting
was held and Mrs. 11. Sholdice
gave her report as secretary -trea-
surer. The forum members. had.
bought 12 doz. each ,of ,cups and
saucers. 2 sizes of plate, soups
and fruit nappies. These dishes
will be presented for use in the
new community hall. .A. picnic .is
to be held this summer and meet-
ings will resume next fall. There
are 22 ,members.the

was held at the home of Mrs. Cal-
vin Christie with Mrs. Norman
Dow in charge. Scripture and me-
ditation were taken by MTs. G.

a reading, "The Way to Love.”
The program committee for the
May meeting will be Mrs. HarveyDow and Mrs. Russell Miller, the
meeting to be held ,at the home
of Mrs, Carman ,Park. MTs. Park

rent events were given by Mrs.

baby's layette. "When the :Robins
Nest Again" was sung with Mrs.
Albert Glazier at the piano. Sec-
retary's raport was read. iA thank
you note from Mrs. McBride and
family was read. Mrs. Warren
Gibbings held the lucky ticket,
drawn by Johnny Gibson. Meet-
ing closed by repeating' the Home
Maker's Prayer. President Mrs.
Joe Gibson introduced :Rev. Mc-
Kim of Clinton Cancer Society.
He showed two films, "Outlaw
LWithin" and "Man Alive." These
films are instructive and help one
to understand cancer more and
not to delay in going to a doctor
early. It was thought at 'a meet-
ing sometime the 'Club might be
able to arrange :in .helping the
Cancer Society in making dress-
ings, etc. Mrs. Gibson. thanked
Mr. McKim. A lovely 'lunch was
served by the :hostess assisted by
Mrs, Jack Smith. The May meet-
ing is to be held ,in the afternoon
of May 14 at Mrs. Jack Smith's.

afternoon. A service .fn the audi-
torium of the church opened the
occasion with Rev. W. M. Thomas
and Mrs. Wim, Thames, vice pres-
ident. officiating. A hymn was
sung with MTS. D.. Ennis at the
piano. Scripture lesson was read
by Mrs. Thamer after which
prayer was offered. by Rev. Thom-
as: Numbers were given by Mrs.
Peter Dunlop of Seaforth,piano
solo; Mrs. Ludington, Moncrieff,
a reading; MTs, 1i. Smalldan, 17th
group, solo; Miss Ethel Dennis,
Bethel, reading; Mrs. Gilbert
Smibh, Winthrop. reading. The
offering was received by Mrs, R.
Bennett and Mrs. E. Mitchell. The
closing hymn was followed by the
benediction. Mrs. Jas. Clark wel-
comed the guests 'anti Mrs. Allan
McCall and Mrs. Herb Travis
acted as ushers Mrs. W. M. Tho-
mas declared the bazaar open
and all retired to the school room
which was decorated with daffo-
dils and baskets of mumps. All,
counters reported good sales with
about $190.00 being realized. A
salad luncheon was served, with
guests attending from Bethel,
Winthrop, Seaforth, Moncrieff
and other Walton groups.
The April ,meeting of the WMS
will be held .in the community
hall on Thursday evening, April
23rd, when the district president,
Mrs. G. Johnston, will install the
new officers, Roll call will be an-
swered with the payment of fees
and a gift for your Sunshine Sis-
ter.

A paper drive is being made
this week by the members of the
Orange Lodge.

WILLIAM B. BOLTON
The community was greatly
shocked to hear of the recent
death of (William Barnet Bolton,
65, of Rochester, N.Y. Mr. Bol-
ton died unexpectedly March 24
.at 'his home, 429 Brooks Ave. Ile
was born in McKillop township,
the son of the late .Isaac Bolton
and Elizabeth Ann Haekwell. He
was also the brother of the late
Leonard Bolton of Seaforth. Mr.
Bolton leaves a daughter, Doro-
thy of Rochester, N.Y., four bro-
thers, Joseph, of Rochester; ,Les-
lie, of Hespeler. Ont., and Samuel
and Earl of Walton; two sisters,
Margaret Humphries, of Walton,
and 'Stella Glousher of Wingham,
also several nephews and nieces.
Burial of Mr. Bolton was at Riv-
erside Cemetery, Roohester, N.Y.

member of the Seaforth Agricultural Society (fee $1).

be completed and returned by May 1, 1959, to the
