and the roll call was answered
by memlbers bringing in mystery
boxes suitable for the bazaar.
Business matters were discussed
and 315 is to be sent to the Red
Gross. Next .month a miscellane-
ous artiole Tor the bazaar is to
be brought in. The date of the
next meeting is to be April 1st.
The W. M. S. meeting was eon

ducted by ;Mrs. B. Brown who•
opened by prayer ,followed by
hymn 261.:Scripture, Mark 14:
66-77 by Mrs. McIllwadn, Minutes
were read and business matters
dealt with. Mrs. F. Riley and
Mrs. B. 'Brown were appointed
delegates to the Huron ,Presby-
terial to be held Friday, March
20th at Goderioh. A letter con-
cerning Alma College -is being
left over until dater date to be
discussed. Anyone with mitts
and mufflers for the Supply' Al-
location would they .please bring
them in to the next meeting. The
Easter ;meeting will be ,held Ap-
ril est with Mrs, Robt. McMich-
ael of Walton as guest speaker,
and each member is to Invite a
visitor, also the Jr. Girls are cor-
dially invited. The 'roll call is to
be answered by a verse of scrip-
ture pertaining to Easter. Mrs.
Wm. Jewitt gave an interesting
Temperance paper on 'The Point
of no Return". The study book
was well given and map outlined
on Alaska by Mrs. Wilbur Jew-
itt. She gave in detail all the dif-
ferent religious denominations
found in Alaska and their dist-
ricts;
A. 'Christian Stewardship paper
was given by (Mrs: 13. Brown on
the "7 Steps of Peter's Downfall
and How we :.Stand as Stewards",
Stating that conceit and pride;
ease or sleeping; rashness or In-
difference; following agar off;
evilassociations; open denial;
and blasphemy; Mark 14: 70-71,
the Hirst step may be small but
it always leads to something so
much greater, and as Christian
Stewards let, us not tall as did
Peter. Perhaps, .we, as others,'
think -ourselves small sinners
but do not :forget that these sins
have a way of adding up, remem-
bering only, through Jesus Christ

meeting.

'Homes in the community were
saddened over the weekend when
early Friday morning Mrs, Roy
•,Lawson of iSealforth. passed away
M Victoria Hospital, London, af-
ter a lengthy illness. Mrs. Law-
son is a •sister'in4aw of Mr. and
(Mrs, Earl Lawson, and Mr. and
Mee. Lorne Lawson to whom'
sympathy of the community is
extended. MT. and Mrs, Roy Law-
,son had lived .in this community
prior to moving to Seaforth and
9Srs, Lawson was a .great worker
in Church :affairs being a Sun•
day :School teacher in the Con-
stance U. C. for several years,
