rhythm band numbers by the pu-
pils, Santa Claus was a welcome
visitor and treats were presented
to all .the children.
The annual Christmas enter-
tainment of S. S. No. 5, 'Ribbert
was •held on Wednesday night
with Mr. A, Christie in the chair.
Mrs. Calvin Christie presided at
the piano for the'musical num-
bers, The program consisted of
choruses, recitations, drills and
dialogues by the pupils under
the leadership of their' teacher,
Mrs. Budden.e.Santa Claus arriv-
ed with treats for the children.

for the spe0ralChristmas service
on Sunday Mina Rev. S. Kerr in
charge. Passages of ecripture
were read •by,. Mildred Howe,

Dorothy. Taylor, and the Christ-
mas Story -was read by Mrs. T. ,L.
Scott. 'Special musical numbers
were .contributed 'by the •choir''
and the priniary pupils of the
Sunday Scheel, and the white
gifts were presented by the chil-
dren, :being pierced in a white
basket under a lighted tree. The
offering was received ;by Margar-
et Wallace afld Dorothy Taylor.
An impressive' •candel.ighting cer-
emony under: the leadership of
Mrs, all, Lamond was performed
by ,Margaret. Wallace, Carol
Howe, Mildred Howe, Alice Walk-
er, Ina Scott and Dorothy Tay-
lor. Silent Night, Holy Night
was used as a recessional hymn.
