MRS. WALTER. MOORE
There passed away suddenly in
Seaforth, November 7, Clara Alber
tine Lawson, widow of the late Wal-'
ter Moore, in her 73rd year,
Mrs. Moore was born in Auburn, i
the daughter of the late Mr.. and!
Mrs, Joseph Lawson, and lived there
until her marriage in 1004. Later
she lived in Goderieh, South Porcu-
pine, Kitchener and Hamilton. Fol-
lowing the death of her husband in
1944 she went to Val d'Or, Quebec,
and two years ago she came to live
with Miss Laura Mole, town, where
she passed away. She 'is survived by
one son, Mahlon Moore, Malartie,
Que., and a daughter, (Helen), Mrs.
Max Cormier, Edmonton. One daug-
hter predeceased her in 1941.
The funeral was held on Monday
at 1:80 p.m. from the G. A. Whitney
Funeral Home. Pallbearers were
Earl, Roy, Leslie, Lorne and Harold
Lawson and Oliver Anderson. Inter-
ment was in Woodland cemetery,
Kitchener. Her son, Mr. Mahlon
Moore of Malartie, Que., attended
the funeral.

Miss Phyllis Hinz, daughter ' of
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hinz, enter-
tained a number of girls on the oc-
casion -of her Gth birthday last Wed-
nesday.
Mrs. John Arbuckle opened her
home for the Ladies Aid meeting last
Wednesday afternoon, A large satin
quilt was started and completed on
Thursday. Rev, Becker took the de-
votional part of the meeting and
Mrs. R. Hulick was in charge of the
business, Lunch was served by the
committee in charge,
Mr, and Ml's. W. L. Querengesser
spent a few clays with their son,
Howard Querengesser and Mrs.
Querengesser in Waterloo last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Russell Sholdice and
family spent Sunday at the same
home.
Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Pryce, Ryan
and Peggy of Kitchener with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Heuer -
man for the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Beuerman
and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Deitz of
Bornholm attended the Royal Winter
Fair in Toronto on Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Mogk, Mr. and
Mrs. Harold Mogk in Toronto on
Monday, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Mogk
remaining with Mr. and Mrs. Ed
Wesenberg, Toronto.
Mrs. Sweeney, Joseph and Frank
of Stratford, Mr. and Mrs. John
Hinz -of Sebringville with Mr. and
Mrs. Lavern Wolfe on Sunday. Mr.
and Mrs. Joe Klein .Sr. and Betty
and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Klein Jr.
of Detroit called at the same home
on Saturday. They also called on
other relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Kistner at-
tended the Royal Winter Fair in
Toronto for a few days.
Mrs. Henry Kleber Sr. accompan-
ied Mr. attd Mrs. Carl Mickel and
family of Fullerton to Galt to visit
her daughter, Mrs. Barber and Mr.
Barber.
Miss Ann Gillespie of Kitchener,
Mr. Donald Ahrens, Waterloo, with
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Ahrens for the
weekend.
Miss Velma Pomrenki of Water-
loo with Rev. and Mrs. Becker and
Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Elligson for the
weekend.
Mr. John Arbuckle, Waterloo,
with his family at his home.
Mrs. John C. Diegel, who spent
the past three weeks at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Querengesser, is
nbw visiting with her son, Mr, and
Mrs. Harold Diegel, Mitchell.
Farin Forum was held at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. John Arbuckle. The
topic was "Farm Machinery, does it
pay". The farms in our neighbor-
hood are well mechanized and every-
one is quite satisfied. If machinery
is required that is too expensive for
the individual farmer to buy, he
would hire a custom worker. The
next meeting to be at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Win. Diegel.
