SEAFORTH LIONS CLUB ANNUAL
Dublin Continuation School
The school gave a turkey dinner
to all the Ursuline teachers on Oct-
ober 21, St. Ursula's Day. Because
we wanted to keep it a secret we
had quite a few difficulties making
announcements and stowing away
packages that were obviously not
books. Four of the seniors, Mary
'Catherine Stapleton, Marion Roach,
Dotrohy Dillon and Joan Evans were
chief cooks and had the novel ex-
perience of getting into the convent
kitchen. Judging from all the notes
of appreciation we are sure that
our teachers enjoyed the event even
as much as we did,
Field Day was held on Wednesday
in spite of Monday's snow. Great en-
thusiasm was shown by both teams,
The baseball and girls' volley hall
games were won by the Fighting
Irish, Individual winners were Molly
Malone—girls' running broad jump;
Marion Roach, standing 'broad jump;
Cyril Murray --pole vault: Jerry
Eckert -75 -yard dash; Roy Maloney
—boys' standing broad jump; Jerry
Eckert—boys' running broad jump;
and Ronald. Murray — boys' high
jump. A few events have yet to be
completed so the final results nre
not known.
