Council of the Village 'of Hensell has given
the Municipal Councils of May and Stanley
Townships ample time to come to en agree-
ment over the matter of FIRE PROTECTION.
and have been unable to get any satisfaction
as regards the same from either of the Mu-
nicipal Councils. Therefore after October 1st.,
1952, no FIRE calls will be answered from.

and Mrs. John 11. Cochrane.
Mrs. Edith Warwick of Sudbury
is visiting her. friend, Mrs. Elston
Dowson in the village. It is fifty
years since these two ladies have
seen each other. They are having a
happy reunion.
Mr. and Mrs. Wright of Mount
Forest were recent visitors of Mr.
and Mrs. Elston Dowson.
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Gackstetter
visited on Sunday with her brother,
Mr. E. L. Ferguson, who is a patient
in Memorial Hospital, St. Thomas.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Ferguson of near
Hensall visited with her brother and
sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Archie
Parsons. -
. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Jones visit-
ed on -Sunday evening with Mr. and
Mrs. W. Homey in Exeter.
The August meeting of W.M.,S.
was held Wednesday afternoon last
at the home of Mrs. Eldon Jarrot.
The president, Mrs, John Sinclair,
presided. Worship period was con-
ducted by Mrs. Winston Workman;
twenty-four ladies answered the roll
call. .Appreciative letters were read
from Mrs. John Cochrane and Mrs.
Wm. Kyle. Mrs. Sinclair reported
for the visiting committee. Mrs.
Peck and Mrs. Herbert Jones were
appointed to visit the sick and shut-
ins for August. The Kippenette Girls
were appointed as Flower Commit-
tee for August. The Birthday meet-
ing which is to be held in November
in the church was discussed. It was
decided to invite some neighboring
auxiliary, and that Mrs. (Rev,) Mc-
Leod will be the speaker. Miss Helen
Love favored with a piano instru-
mental. Mrs, J. McLellan gave the
Study, Chapter seven from the
Study Book. Mrs. R. M. Peck then
gave a short addl'ess. The meeting
concluded with the Mis ah Benedic-
tion in unison, The W.A. held a
short business . meeting with the
president, Mrs, E. , McBride in
charge. It was decided to have a
canvass of the congregation instead
of a fowl supper. The canvass to
take place immediately. It was also
decided to have a bazaar at the Sun-
day School rooms on Saturday, No-
vember 22nd.
