The Londesboro ladies' bowling
club met at the home of Mrs, J.
Shaddiek an Tuesday night and
presented Miss D. Armstrong, bride -
elect, with a walnut end table, and
Mrs. Allen Shaddiek entertained an
Friday night at a miscellaneous
shower when. about 50 guests at-
tended, little Beverly Lee and Ra -
hart Shaddiek presented the gifts in
a prettily decorated wagon. The re-
mainder of the evening was spent
by playing Court Whist, A dainty
lunch was served by the hostess
assisted by Mrs. Edwin Wood and
Miss Jack Lee.
BRODHAGEN
Mr. Gottlieb Mueller of Brodhag-
en celebrates his 90th birthday on
Friday, Sept, 12th. He lives with his
daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. Manuel Beuerman, Brodhagen,
He is still active, in good health,'and
everyday you will find him in his
shop doing minor repairs to shoes.
He was born in Germany and came
to Canada when a young man and
settled at Brodhagen where he .has
lived all his life. He has one daugh-
ter (Alice) Mrs. Manuel Beuer-
man, and two grandsons, Ray and
Wayne Beuerman. He will celebrate
quietly at his home.

ley Riehl and Messrs Alvin and Geo.

the weekend in Detroit.
3Ir. and Mrs, Lavern Wolfe re-
ceived word that their son Lorne
has been injured in an accident
when a truck overturned at his job
in Alberta. He is confined to St.
Michael's Hospital, Lethbridge, Sir.
Ralph Scherbarth, son. of 1Ir. and
Mrs. Ed Scherbarth, also injured his
shoulder in the same mishap but not
too severely.

Staynor spent the weekend at the
