Mrs. Phil Peters and three sons re-
turned to their homes in Boston on
Sunday after spending several days
with Mr. and Mrs. W. Bell and other
relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. John Patterson of
Toronto are visiting with the hatter's
sisters and brother-in-law, Mr, and
Mrs. William Workinan and other
relatives in the district.
Miss Mary McBride of near Exet-
er is holidaying this week with
Sharon McBride.
The 1951 Studebaker car which
was stolen from Mr. Robt. Dalrym-
ple's home in Kippen last week, was
picked up by Police, abandoned near
Paris, The engine was burned out
and the spare tire and jack missing,
A 1939 Dodge car owned by Mr.
Elliott of Clinton was left abandoned
in Kippen.
Mr. and Mrs, Morrison Sillery of
Moose Jaw, Sask., have been visiting
his mother, Mrs, Geo Sillery and
other relatives in this vicinity. Mr,
SiUery has been teaching in Sas-
katchewan since 1920, and notices
many changes in Seaforth. He sees
prospects of an oil boom in the
oose Jaw district where a large
number of test wells are being
drilled. On their way east Mr. and
:Mrs. Sillery visited their son who is
a radio announcer at Fort William.
Mrs. Roy Vodden of ,Summerhill
was a visitor in town on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Cross •af Tor-
onto and Mr. Clare Way of London
spent the weekend with his sisters

Mrs. Iola. Jackson of Iiensell, Clare
left Tuesday for Saredo, Texas.

Mrs. A. B. Mick, who spent a
month with her daughter, Mrs. John
Kellar and Mr. Kellar, has returned
to her home in Parkersburg, W.
Virginia.
Miss Elta Gray of Detroit visited
her nieces, Miss Galbraith and Mrs.
Reid during the week.

Quite a number attended the Cen-
tennial Celebrations in Goderich and
St. Thomas last week.
Sunday morning services were
well attended in :St. Andrew's Unit-
ed Church here with the newly in-
ducted minister, Rev, Norman Mc-
Leod, B.A.; B.D..in charge. The
choir under the leadership of Miss
Jean Ivison rendered the anthem
"Stand Up, Stand Up For Jesus".
Mrs. David Kilpatrick of Auburn
visited recently with her sister and
, brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
Anderson and •other relatives and
friends in the district.
Master Donald Parsons spent last
week visiting Mr. -and Mrs, Russell
Ferguson of near Hensall,
Miss Gail Ann Gackstetter is
spending this week with her grand-

Phylis Agnes McBride exchanged
marriage vows with Earl Deichert,
in Goshen United Church, The bride
is the daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Roy
McBride, and the groom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Victor H, Deichert,
all of Zurich,
The Rev. T. J. Pitt officiated and
Miss Laurin' McNain was organist.
• Given in 'marriage by her father,
the bride wore a strapless gown of
white satin with double skirt of ny-
lon net, Over the bodice of Chantilly
lace she wore a lace jacket with
lily -point sleeves and her fingertip
veil of nylon net was gathered to a
beaded Brown.
Miss Margaret Deichert, sister of
the groom, was maid of honor wear-
ing a daffodil yellow gown with
double skirt of stiffened net over
nylon. Her headdress was a braided
coronet of yellow net over taffeta
and she carried a bouquet of Talis-
man roses.
Hugh McBride, brother of the
bride, was best man, and the ushers
were Claire Deichert, brother of the
groom, and Wes McBride, brother
of the .bride.
The 'bride's mother received
guests at her home. She wore a
dress of navy triple sheer with white
accessories and corsage of Talisman
roses, while the groom's mother,
assisting, wore a figured navy and
whitetriple sheer dress with navy
and white accessories and corsage
of pink roses.
For a wedding trip to Ottawa and
Eastern Ontario. the bride had cho-
sen a powder blue suit with navy ac-
cessories. The couple will reside in
Zurich.
