The penny sale sponsored bsw the
St. Columban Catholic Women's
League was held May 20th, nearly
$160 win; realized. The president and
executive extend thanks to all the
members who donated prizes, and to
all those who helped in any way to
make the sale a success. The follow-

the pupils, The lucky draw for tick-
ets on a quilt was wan by David Mc-
Connell. Two smaller lucky ticket
draws were won by Theresa Du-
eharme and Sheila Malone, Remem-
brances of flowers are to be sent to
Rev. Dr; Ffoulkes and Mother Ber-
trand in St, Josephs Hospital, Lon-
don. The election of officers follow-
ed with the appointments made for
Pres., Mrs. Edwin Stapleton; Vice
Pres., Geo, .Dllcharme; Sec„ Mrs.
Joseph McLaughlin; Treas., Mrs.
Pat Flanagan. Lunch was served by
the committee in charge.
A very interesting meeting of the
Dublin C.W.L. was held recently
with a splendid attendance, The
Pres., Mrs, John Meagher, opened
the meeting with prayer, followed
by the reading of the minutes of
the previous meeting by the Sec.,
Mrs. Earl Healey. The Treas., Mrs,
Martin Klinkhamer, gave a satisfact-
ory financial report. Mrs. William
Stapleton gave an excellent resume
of the G.W.L. Convention at Lon-
don, The correspondence was read
and discussed. Rev. Father Durand
addressed the meeting
