Captain J. Carson of the R.C.A. will be on hand to rate the Cadet Gores. The parade will leave the High School, continue to the corner of Goderich and Main and go to the park. On return to the school the parade will -go down Main Street. The year book is underway with the committees swinging into their jogs at full strength. If you have any good .pictures of yourself or of other students be sure to gibe them to Patsy. Our fourth school dance of the year is to be held as the Cadet Dance, on Friday night, May 16th. We haven't had too many dances this year so let's snake it a big suc- cess. The boys will come in cadet uniform or find themselves out of luck. Question of the Week: Did you see the brown flying saucers around school this week? SPORT SHORTS The Tennis Club is holding a meeting for all those interested, on Tuesday night, May 13th, in the town hall. The meeting is being called at 8 p.m. If you plan on play- ing some sport this year, you had better go to the meet. We are in- formed there will be no girls' ball team, and tennis is to be the only thriving sport. The Legion hope to enter a team in the Canadian Le- gion League, so all ball isn't for- gotten. Just remember, there are a good bunch of juvenile boys around here who could make a very good team. Seaforth should give the kids a chance and see some real softball. Dear Mrs. McEwing and Irene,— It is with deep regret that we find you are leaving our Society and community. You will be greatly missed both in the Society and your presence at our meetings. You, Mrs, McEwing, have been a long and faithful member of Burns, and with your kind and helpful way will be greatly missed, tho' we feel you won't be entirely awa7 as your two sons .and family are with us and will keep you linked to us when you' visit them. Irene, we are going to miss you also. It will be a loss to our Sunday School and community, hav- ing your family leaving us in their young childhood. But we trust that in your new homes you will still fol- low in the Master's footsteps, carry- ing on His work, and what is our loss will be Your new society's gain. With this thought in mind we would like you to accept these gifts as a token of our appreciation of the work you have done in the past and as you press the button of these lamps may their light ever keep you, linked with the Women's Missionary Society and Ladies' Aid of Burns' United Church.
