Mrs. T. J. McMichael of Auburn
spent the weekend at the home of
her daughter, Mrs. William Dale
and Mr. Dale.
Mr. William Dale spent Monday in
Toronto.
The Golden Links Mission Band
met on Sunday, April 13, opened
with the misson band prayer follow-
ed by a hymn. Minutes were read by
Laurel 'Dale followed by the roll call
with 10 members present. Collection
was taken by Niekey Whyte. Connie
Treffers read the scripture lesson
and John Jewitt elected vice-pres.
The leader, Mrs. Wilber Jewitt,
read the Easter Story. A hymn was
sung. World Friends were distribut-
ed and the meeting closed with
prayer.
Miss Betty Addison spent three
days this week as a delegate attend-
ing the Junior Farmers' Conference
at the O.A.C., Guelph. Betty reports
it a huge success,
Sunday School will be at 1 p.m.
and Church service at 2 p.in. (Day-
light Saving Time).

turned home from visiting her cou-
sin in Stratford.
Mrs. James Adams and Linda of
Chatsworth visited with her sister,
Mrs. Aaron Jantzi, and Mr. John
McClure and Ethel.
Mr. and Mrs. Russell Maddess of
Milverton, Mr. and Mrs. Ross David-
son and 'children of Stratford visited
with Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Davidson.

Purchased approximately two acres
of land at a cost of 3200 from him,
for the purpose of constructing a
new road to the boundary bridge at
the north end of the second conces-
sion.
The rural hydro office, Clinton,
will be petitioned by the 'Connell
for the installation •of an additional
street light in Bayfield as requested
by the police village trustees.
Levis Contraeting Company, Clin-
ton, was awarded the contract for
9,000 yards of gravel at 84 cents
per cubic yard, with the work to be
completed by Oct, 115. The Clinton
tender was the only one submitted.
WALTON
The first meeting of the Cran-
brook Cornflowers was held on
April 16 at the home of Mrs. Vern-
ice Corlett with nine members pre-
sent. The meeting opened by singing
the Ode. Minutes of the last meet-
ing were read by Helen Knight and
seconded by Karen Machan. The roll
call was answered with "present".
The next meeting is to be at Mrs.
Phyllis Mitchell's. We decided on
yellow bristol board for our cover.

sed. We were given leaflets and
handy hints on planting the garden.
The meeting adjourned by the sing-
ing of God save the Queen. Lunch
was then served.
