Miss Geraldine Parker is holiday- ing at the home of her grandmother Mrs. Edna Corbett. J. R. MacDonald Dies Suddenly Mr. J, R. McDonald, oldest resi- dent of this district, who would have been 96 on May 17, passed away suddenly at .his !home on No. 4 High- way one and a half miles south of Hensall, on Monday morning. The deceased had resided on the farm 41 years and had been confined to his room for the past three years. Mr. and Mrs. McDonald observed their diamond wedding anniversary on June 2, 1951. Nicol sang the fol- lowing anthems, "Open the gates of the Temple", "Awake up my Glory" and "All in an April Evening". A duel and chorus entitled `Christ Arose' by Misses Shirley Bell and Jean Henderson, and the Sunday School choir was presented at the morning service.
