late Kiieg after which we sang God
save the Queen, Mrs. Bertha Pollard
gave a reading entitled "St, Pat-
rick's Day Arrives Again". Miss
Betty Goudie sang very beautifully
"In The Garden" with Miss Joyce
Wilson at the piano. A special feat-
ure of the evening was a talk by
Provincial Constable Ferris telling of
his work and experiences while on
duty at the Guelph Reformatory,

ive, A delicious lunch was served by
the hostess and her assistants. A.
hearty vote of thanks was tendered
to all those who helped to make this
a very enjoyable evening. Project
for this month was a white elephant
sale, also expect to sponsor a play

This year again the Red Cross Appeal presents us with a challenge
. and an opportunity. New victims of war wounds, greater
need of lifesaving blood transfusion services, the inevitability
of great disasters of fire and flood... all must find the Red Cross
ready. As the need to alleviate suffering grows, the generosity of
Canadians grows too. But today the task is almost beyond
measure, There is the challenge. The opportunity to help is
before you.
Give TODAY to carry on tomorrow's work of mercy
$5,222,000 is urgently needed to
KEEP YOUR RED CROSS STRONG
