Crerar and Allen visited London recontly with the farmer's brother, M. Ed 1Vlitehell, who is ill. Mr. and Mrs, A. L. 'Case visited during the, past week with the lat- ter's mother, Mrs. John Reid in Lon- don. Reeve A. W. Kerslake attended County .Council 9n Goderieh last week. The members of Amber Rebekah Lodge No, 349 held a social follow- ing their regular meeting on Wed- nesday evening. The prize winners for the progressive euchre were Mrs. Charles Farquhar, Mrs, Inez McEw- en, Man, -Clarence Volland. Gent's prize winners were Messrs. Byron Kyle, Geo. Glenn and S. G. Rennie, Prize winners for erokinole were Mr. Harold Bell, Mrs. Garfield Bro- derick and Mrs. Byron Kyle. Re- freshments were served at the close, A number of members of Amber Rebekah Lodge accompanied by their ,husbands accepted the invita- tion extended them from the Pride of Huron Rebekah Lodge, Exeter, and attended the dance sponsored in the arena on Thursday night. All re- port a very enjoyable time. Arnold Circle Meets Mrs, Ed Fink was hostess for the Januar y meeting of the Arnold 'Circle Evening Auxiliary at her home on Monday evening. Mrs. ,Ohas Forrest presided. Mrs, D. Kennedy was in charge of the worship period, The presentation of a Life Member- ship certificate was made to Mrs, A. Hildebrandt by Mrs. Forrest. Mrs. H. Hoy gave the first chapter from the new study book on South Amer - lea. Interesting items were given from the Record by Mrs. J. McEwen and the Glad Tidings by Mrs. A. Orr. Mrs. Harvey Hyde spoke on be- half of the Mission Band. It was de- cided to send a donation to Toronto to be forwarded to Miss Margaret Andrews, Missionary in British Gui- ana. Miss Orr gave an interesting report of the Presbyterial held in Clinton. The meeting closed with prayer by Mrs. Jarrott. Refreshments were served. KIPPEN The annual meeting of St. And- rew's Church will be held on Jan. 29th at 7 p.m. and a pot luck supper will be served. The W.M.S. met on Wednesday afternoon last at the home of Mrs. J. W. MacLean with 20 members present. The new president, Mrs. John Sinclair, presided and opened the meeting by singing the new ver- sion of "0 Canada" from the Miss- ionary Monthly. A reading on New Year's resolution was given by Mrs. Sinclair. Hymn 579 was then sung. Mrs. Herbert Jones read the scrip- ture. A thank -you card was read from the McBride family. Mrs. Em- erson Kyle reported she and Mrs. Hinsdale had called on 6 shutins last month. Mrs. E. McBride and Mrs. W. Alexander were appointed for Jan- uary. The World's Day of Prayer will be observed in the church, Feb. 29th. Mrs. T. Kay reported on the Mission Band. The study, "This is the land we serve" was given by Mrs. W. Al- exander. A piano instrumental was given by Mrs. R. Broadfoot. The closing hymn 876 was sung. Mrs. Sinclair pronounced the Benediction. Lunch was served by Circle No. 3. A contest in charge of Mrs. T.
