DUBLIN
Dublin Continuation School
Our last week of school for 1951
was a very busy ane. We completed
our Christmas exams, preparations
for the concert were in their final
stages, and tickets were made and
sold on a turkey.
Our Christmas concert was post-
poned from Thursday night to Sun-
day night due to the weather.
On Sunday night the Dublin Con-
tinuation School and the Dublin
Separate School put on their concert
in the parish hall. A large crowd
was in attendance. After a splendid
performance on behalf of the Sep-
arate School, the High School stu-
dents displayed their talents. Alice
Ryan, our student president, acted
as chairman. Following her introduc-
tory address was the opening chorus
consisting of the entire student
body. A play "Mr, Cox and Mr. Box"
followed the chorus. A dance per-
formed by a group of girls and a
violin selection by Bob Kelly consti-
tuted the next number. The sixth
number was a play. entitled "What
will we give Dad?" A tableau entit-
led "A Christmas Crib on Main
Street" followed. Rev. Dr. Ffoulkes
gave a very brief but enjoyable talk
which concluded the programme.
We wonder! What students neg-
lected to remember the date of eui
Christmas concert?
Is smoking a pipe the new fad
among one of our senior boys?
