these pictures were taken to Chisel -
burst Church for presentation there,
under the auspices of the Young
Peoples' Union.
The annual W.M.S. Thankoffering
service takes place in the church on
Sunday morning, Nov. .5 at 11 a.m.
The ladies have been fortunate in
securing 'Dr. Robert Grierson as the
guest speaker.
Mr. John Anderson of the Hensel'
district was the winner of a turkey
and two ducks at a fowl shoot held
in Seaforth on Saturday, Oct. 28. It
was well attended by shooters from
as -far distant as Preston. Anderson
shot a score of 69 out of 70. Had two
perfect 25 straights in succession, the
last one at 20 yards.
Mr. Earl Parlmer of Toronto. last
week paid a visit to the bead office of
the Canada Trust Co. in London. Dur-
ing this time he spent a visit with his
mother, Mrs Belle Par'imer
At the morning service in the Unit-
ed Church, Rev . W. J. Rogers ad-
ministered the rites of baptism to the
following infants: Gary Thomas Kyle,
John David Goddard, Brian Earl Dig-
nan, Harold Dale Dignan, Bruce Jas.
Forrest, Gerald Douglas Traquair,
Joan Loraine Simmons, Donna
Jean Whitehouse, William Henry
Soldan. Mr. Rogers in a short
talk stressed the significance
of the Baptising' service. The choir
rendered the anthem "Suffer Little
Children", solo parts were taken by
Mr. Sam Rennie and Mr. Fred Apple-
by. At the evening service, Mrs. Fred
Appleby Tendered a solo "In the Se-
cret of His Presence".

At the evening service Oct, 29, in
the Hensel' United Church school-
room, Rev. W. J. Rogers introduced
the missionary sound film "Heart of
India" which dealt with the native
customs and religions of India. The
first part serves as an introduction
to India. The second part shows a
young child being cured by a mis-
sionary doctor and its effect on the
Family. There was a splendid attend-

The annual. W.M.S. Fall Thank -
Offering Service takes place in the
Church on Sunday, Nov. 5th at 11
a.m. The ladies have been fortunate
in securing Dr. Grierson as the guest
speaker for this event.
Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 26th
marked the annual party of the
Baby Band and Mothers which took
place in the schoolroom of the Unit-
ed Church. The Church was decorat-
ed with autumn flowers and a large
table sat with candles, flowers, pop-
corn, cake and treats for the kiddies,
Nursery motifs were read throughout.
Mrs. Cross, President of the W.M,S.
gave the call to worship. Various
hymns were used. Mrs. Rogers re-
peated prayer. The collection of mite
boxes was placed in a decorated
basket.
The following Juniors graduated
into the Mission Band: Robt. Wm.
Smile, Otto John Smale, David Bu-
chanan, Jerry Chapman, Marlene
Dignan, Eunice Adair.
Gwen Spencer and Mary Ann Ren-
nie welcomed the new members to the
Mission Band. Mrs. Geo. Hess sang
and Mrs. D. Kyle and Mrs. it, Drys-
dale took charge of the graduating ex-
ercises. The children were treated to
gingerbread, men and bunny cookies

Sherritt, The enjoyable affair was
