Teachers Discuss Art The Hensall Zurich Unit of the Teacher's Federation met at the White School east of Hensall for the September meeting. Twenty-two teachers attended. The topic "Art Through the Grades" and an exhibit of 175 pictures from kindergarten level through grade eight were on display. Travelogues on P1or'ida and British Columbia will be presented by Mr. Victor Dinnin and Mrs. Mason of Zurich at the next meeting to take place October 24 at Zurich Public School. WINTHROP The W.M.S. and W. A. of Caven, Winthrop, will hold their August Thankoffering on Tuesday, Oct. 3rd at the home of Mrs. William Dodds. The meeting will commence at 2 o'- clock standard time. The topic will be taken by Mrs. Livingston. The roll call is to be answered by a verse on thanksgiving. CROMARTY Harriett C. McKellar, wife of Mr. James Barbour. Mrs. James Barbour passed away at Seaforth Hospital after a short illness, on Wednesday, Sept. 27th at 12.10 a.m. She was in her 00th year and was born in Rib- bert, slaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs, Donald D. McKellar, of Crom- arty. She was married at Cromarty in 1916 to Mr. Barbour. Besides her husband she is survived by two bro- thers and three sisters, Kenneth Mc- Kellar of Cromarty, Daniel, of Buf- falo, N.Y., Mrs. Russell Scott (Grace) and Mrs. William Miller (Jean) both of Cromarty, and Mrs. Carl Weitz- man (Mary) of Niagara Falls, N.Y. She was a member of Cromarty Presbyterian Church. The funeral will take place from her late home lot 19, con. 9, Hibbert, on Sept. 29th at 2 P.m. standard time. Rev. Mr. Lamont of Mitchell will officiate. Funeral private. Mr, Henry Ahrens, of Logan, on .Sept. 29th, is celebrating his 95th birthday. KIPPEN Miss Isabelle Alexander of Toronto and Miss Jean Alexander of London were recent visitors with their par- ents, Mr. and MTS. W. Alexander. Mr. and 'Mrs. A. Gackstetter and Gail Ann visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Enos Herdman, Centralia. Mr. and Mrs. J. Caldwell of Exeter visited recently with Mr. and Mrs. E. Anderson. Mr. Thomas Munro, who has spent several weeks at Fox Point, has re- turned to his home here, Miss Erena Shultz of London visit- ed recently with her parents Mr. and Mrs. L. Shultz. • Rally Services Held Sunday last was observed as Rally Sunday in St. Andrew's Church here. The printed order of service was fol- lowed and special music was present- ed by four girls of the Intermediate Class namely: Elaine Bell, Bonnie Kyle, Lois McLellan, Ann Sinclair.
