Moir -McMillan
A. very quiet wedding was solem-
nized Saturday afternoon at Kimble
Presbyterian Manse. Owen Sound,
with Rev. Homes officiating, when
Dorothy Helen McMillan, daughter of
Mrs. Wm. Lee, Hensall, was united in
marriage to Ronald George, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Moir, Hensall.
The bride looked charming wearing
a navy blue suit with white acces-
sories and corsage of pink and white
roses. Attending the bride was her
sister Marie wearing a navy blue
suit with white accessories. Elmer
Woods, uncle of the bride was
groomsman.
The reception was held at the home
of the bride's grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. S. Woods. A table decorated
with pink and white streamers, roses
and lilies over which hung a white
bell was centred with a three-storey
wedding cake. Following the recep-
tion the couple left for Stuble Beach
where they wilt spend their honey-
moon. On their return they will re-
side in Hensall.

BLYTH
Mrs. Wallace Potter, a life long
resident of this community, died at
the home of her daughter Mrs. Geo.
Wilson 8th concession of Morris twp,
in her 85th year. 'Prior to her mar-
riage she was. Lilian R. Nichol, daug-
hter' of the late Alexander Nichol and
Ann Barr from near Seaforth. Feb.
15, 1888, she was married to Wallace
Potter and tools up farming in East
Wawanosh township until Mr. Pot-
ter's death in 1927, when she pur-
chased a home in Blyth and lived
there until five years ago. Since then
she made her home with members of
her family. She was a member of
Trinity Anglican Church, Blyth and
of the Ladies Guil/ Surviving ere
three daughter's, Mrs. Arletta Fear,
Mrs. George Wilson, Morris Town-
ship, Mrs. Maitland Bell. Hamilton.
Funeral service was held at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. George Wil-
son, Rev. J. A. Roberts, rector of
Trinity Anglican Church, was in
charge. Burial took place in Union
Cemetery,'Blyth. Pallbearers were
Albert and John Nesbitt, George
Caldwell, Russell Wilson, William
Fear, and John Tierney, Flowerbear-
el's were four grandsons, .Tim Wilson,
Sam, Ted and Bert Fear.

The July meeting of the W.M.S.
was held ib the church on the even-
ing of July 14th. The meeting open-
ed with Mrs. W. R. (Stephenson pre-
siding, by singing Hymn 262. Rev.
Miss Hern led in prayer. Mrs. Ste-
phenson read the scripture reading
from Isaiah chapter 55. Hymn 249
was sung. Minutes of the last meet-
ing were read and adopted. Twelve
members and one visitor were pres-
ent. The roll call for August to re-
late to harvest. Mrs, Geo. Reid ex-
pressed thanks for cards received
and thank you cards had been receiv-
ed from Mrs. Lee McConnell, Mrs.
J. T. McAsh, All articles for the
bale are to be in by the next meet-
ing after which it will bo packed
and shipped. For the study, Mrs.,
Fred Reid. Mrs, Lee McConnell and
Mrs. E. McClinchey read a very in-
