Dear Margaret, and Eddie, We
have been a long time waiting for
this night and the chance to call you
to the'patform, and 'have a good old
dance... '
Now IEdiaie is a trucker
That travel' ,far and wide,
They thought they'd be together,
And so the knot was tied.
And Margaret, we will miss you,
But will say in one chord,
dust bring him back to visit us
In .that nice new Ford.
So as the years go drifting by,
And you live on together,
We wish you both good health and
And -have no stormy weather.
'When your friends come to visit you
Your home will be just right,
In morning, noon or evening
And sometimes at midnight.
Now we know for you Eddie
A clean house is in store,
But hope she won't be angry
If the tots muss up the floor.
Will you accept this gift tonight
With all cif our good wishes,
And sometimes think of all of us
And maybe buy some dishes.
Signed on behalf of your friends
and neighbors.
Eddie made a very, fitting reply
and the friends all joined in singing
"For they are Jolly Good Fellows".
