Mrs. Alice Troyer, widow of Geo.
Troyer passed away at the home of
her son Gordon in Hay Township, in
her 70th year. The deceased moved
to Hensall a few years ago follow-
ing the death of her husband. She
was a member of Carmel Church.
Surviving is one son Gordon and two
grandchildren. Funeral service was
held from the home of her son on Sat-
urday at 2 p.m, conducted by Rev.
P. A. Ferguson assisted by Rev.
Merrill of Toronto, brother of Mrs.
Gordon Troyer. Interment was ill
Hensall Union Cemetery.

June 14, to Mr, and Mrs. Harold
Hedden, a son, 'James Patrick.

on Friday evening when the W.l4l.S.
held a social evening in honor of
Mrs. Brook, A sing -song was directed
by Mrs. T, :Sherritt with Miss Gladys
Luker at the piano. Miss Ellis direct-
ed contests. During the evening Mrs.
Brook was presented with a table
and lamp. Mrs. Cross, president, read
the address and Ml's. Geiger and Miss
Ellis presented the gifts, Mrs. Brook
