Mrs. Lorne Roe was united in ma
riage to George Stern Pethick, so

The bride looked lovely in a floor
length gown of white slipper sati
with lace and seed pearl trimmings
The sleeves were lily -pointed at th
wrists. Her embroidered net Tinge
tip veil was held in place by a crow
set with seed pearls. She carried
bouquet of red Johanna Hill rose
with white streamers. Her only orn
ament was a four strand string o
pearls with ear -rings to match, th
gift of the 'bridegroom.
'Miss Kathleen Roe, wearing
gown of green taffeta with ,head
dress and mittens to match, acted a
her sister's bridesmaid She carried a
bouquet of yellow roses in the same
style as the brides. The best man
was Mr. Roy Williamson of Walton.
Following the ceremony a wedding
reception was held at the home of
the bride's parents. .The bride's
mother chose a dress of black sheer
with a corsage of pink roses. The
bridegroom's mother wore a navy
blue printed silk dress with a corsage
of pink roses. The diningroom was
artistically decorated for the wed-
ding dinner. Those assisting were
Miss Lois Hogg, ,Seaforth, and Miss
Maxine Hulley, Walton.
After the reception, Mr. and Mrs.
Pethiek left amid showers of confetti
and good wishes for a wedding trip
to Niagara Falls and other points.
For travelling the bride donned a
blue silk crepe dress, grey gabardine
coat with navy accessories. On their
return they will reside on the groom's
&arm, Winthrop.
The bridegroom's gift to the
bridesmaid was a silver fruit spoon,
to the best man a tie and clip to
match. The waittresses received sil-
ver pepper and salt shakers.

LONDESBORO
Mr. and Mrs. Waiter Hall of Pasa-
dena have been visiting with Miss L.
Young recently. Miss Hall was form-
erly Miss Millie Agnew and was quite
well known to many here some years
ago.

will conduct the anniversary services

Mr. and Mrs, Stanley Youngblut,
Guelph visited friends in and around
Lordesboro over the weekend.
'Mrs. (Margaret Manning spent
Thursday with friends in Toronto.
Several from here attended the
Sunday School anniversary at the
United Church, Wingham, on Sunday,
it being Flower Sunday, The Church
was filled to capacity. The abundance
of flowers were very beautiful, the
Service throughout was very fine,

]Funeral services for Matthew R.
Haney, 68, ,Tuckersmith Township
farmer, were held Monday afternoon
at his late residence, lot 6, con. 2, by
the Rev. A. W. Gardiner, Egmond-
ville. Interment was made in Eg-
mondville cemetery.
Mr. Haney was born in Bruce
County.
Besides his wife, he leaves four
sons, Bert, Edmonton; Warden,
Tuckersmith; Clair, Egmondville;
Lloyd, at home; one daughter, Mrs.
William Jackson, Calgary; one .bro-
ther, Archie, Sault Ste Marie; and
two sisters, Mrs. David .Stroud, Kin-
cardine; and Mrs. Anna •Seinchte,
Michigan.

way, who are spending their honey-
moon in that district, called on his
cousin, Mrs. Eggert and Mr. Norman
Eggert on Monday.
We are pleased to know that Mr.
Harry Regele has recovered from his
recent severe attack of quinsy.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Eggert were
guests at the Silver Wedding anni-
versary of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Dipple
at the home of Mr. and Mrs, Clinton
Dippple near 'Gowanstown on Sunday.
Childrens Day will be observed in

boring dogs must purchase 1950` licenses for salve on
or before June 30th, 1950. Licenses will be issued from.
the Treasurer's Office in the Town Hall, or from the
Tax Collector, J. Cununings.
After that date summonses through the Court
will be issued to the owners or harborers of dogs not
having licenses.
All dogs must wear license tags.
