Mrs. Paul Jahn of Flint, Mich.,
spent a few days with her brother,
Mr. Geo. Reid and family and her
niece, Mrs. 'Bruce McClinchey and
family.
Word has been received of the
death on Sunday of bins, Nelson Yeo
of Toronto. Mrs. Yeo was a former
resident of Bayfield Line, Goderich
twp. and well known to many in this
district.

The service on Sunday will be tak-
en by Rev. Mr. MacMillan of Sea -
forth at Caven Church at 2:30, There
will be a baptismal service,
HENSALL
Charles Cooper
Charles Cooper, well-known Hensel
resident, died at his home Wednesday
after a brief illness in his 72nd year
He was a member of Carmel Presby
terian Church and elder of the church
session, also a valued member of the
Masonic Lodge 224.
Surviving is his widow, the former
Charlotte Upshall. Funeral service
was held from the Bonthroi Funeral
Homme on Friday conducted by Rev
P. A. Ferguson„ and at the graveside
in Baird's Cemetery by the brethren
of the Masonic Lodge. The floral trib-
utes were very beautiful.

Mrs. ,lean Perriot was soloist. The
church was decorated with baskets of
snapdragons and tulips.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a gown of white satin
and lace, with fitted bodice and lull
skirt, a fingertip veil caught to a
crown embroidered with seed pearls,
and she carried a bouquet of i'ed
roses. The bride was attended by
three bridesmaids in nylon marquis-
ette with bonnets and mittens to
match their gowns. miss Hazel Sey-
mour, maid of honor, in pink, was
carrying blue carnations. Miss Thelma
Trimble in aqua carrying pink carn-
ations, and Mrs. Betty Nova in mauve
carrying pink carnations.
The groom was attended by his
twin brother Donald C. Bell, Toronto.
John A. Bell, «Tallaceburg. and Will.
iam H. Bell, Hensall, brothers of the
groom, ushered. After a reception
held in the IOOF Hall, Chilver Road,
the couple left on a wedding trip to
Algonquin Park, the bride travelling
in a powder blue suit, with navy ac-
cessories. On their return Mr. and
Mrs, Bell will reside in Windsor.
IVIr. and Mrs. Don Rigby and Don-
na, Miss Betty Bowman and firs. J.
Rigby of Blenheim visited recently
with Mr. and !Mrs. Stewart McQueen.

Mr. Jinn Day of Detroit spent the
weekend in the village, he is prepar-
ing to build a new home on Huron
Terrace.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Ferguson of
London spent the weekend with the
former's mother, Mrs. Margaret Fer-
guson.
Mr. and 'Mrs. Jack Stewart of Ham-
ilton spent the weekend at their
home in the vililage.
Mr. and Mrs. !Glen Smith of Lon-
don were . guests of the former's
grandmother, 'Mrs. Chas. Parker, over
the weekend.
Rev. LaVerne Morgan and T. H.
Mack are in London this week attend-
ing the Synod of the Diocese of
Huron.
Mrs, Keith Pruss of London spent
the 'weekend with her parents Mr. and
Mrs. Jack Parker.
Mrs. John MacLeod Sr. returned
home on Saturday after spending the
winter in Detroit and Romeo, Mich.
Mr. Donald 'McLeod of Pt. Dover and
Mr. and Mrs, Arthur 'Sullivan and
David of 'Romeo, Mich. spent the
weekend .with their mother.
Mr. and Mrs. Robin Hunter and
family of Toronto were at their home
in the village over the weekend.

The Trinity Club of Trinity Ang-
lican Church held a .successful "Daf-
fodil Tea" at the home of Mrs. Ted
Davies on Thursday afternoon last.
The rooms were tastefully decorated
with spring flowers, :Mrs. Davies re-
ceived the guests and Mrs. R. H. F.
Gairdner, Mrs. John Iioward poured,
the tea noon assistants were Mrs.
Maynard Corrie, 'Mrs. Alfred Scotch.

In a ceremony in Weston Presby-
terian Church, Shirley Margaret
Dixon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs
Herbert 0._Dixon, became the bride
of Norris Blair McEwan, Niagara
Palls, formerly of Hensall, son of
Mrs. William Cook, .London, and the
late Alpine 'F, McEwan of Hensall
Rev. R. C. Creelman officiated. The
Church was lovely with a floral
background of snapdragons in tall
white standards. The soloist, Mrs. J
Loudie, sang "The Lord's Prayer'
and "0 Perfect Love". Given in mar-
riage byher father, the bride was
gowned in white moire taffeta fash-
ioned with an Elizabethan neckline
and full skirt. A matching yoke held
her fingertip veil and she carried a
prayer book with gardenias. Jean E
:Salter, ,maid of honor, wore a gown
of pink mauve taffeta with matching
poke bonnet. She carried a nosegay
of harmonizing flowers. John S. Ir-
win was groomsman and ushers were
Laurie H. Dixon, and Elmer C. Poll-
ock. A buffet luncheon was served in
the church :parlors to sixty guests
The 'bride's mother receiving in a tur-
ouoise dress with a corsage of yellow
roses and the groom's mother assisted
wearing a gray suit with a corsage
of pink roses. Following a honeymoon
trip to Ottawa and Muskoka, Mr. and
Mrs. MaEwan will reside in Niagara
Palls. Guests were present from.
Parkhill, London, Toronto, Niagara
Falls, and Hensall. Attending from
