It is an axiom that reforms can-
not be effected until there is a
pressure of public opinion. It is
also an axiom that there is nothing
like the facts to determine nubile
opinion. In the matter :tf the use
of bevera_e alcohol the facts are
getting into the public mind. They
are seen in and outside every bev-
erage room. They are sordid and
tragic facts. It is inevitable that
in course of time public opinion
will be moulded by the •facts and
will judge beverage alcohol to be
the harmful and destruetive agent
that it is, The Huron Temperance
Federation has a -good confidence
that the pressure of this informed

many much needed temperance re-
