The Mitchell Legionaires became
Intermediate B victors by win-
ning a fast hard hitting hockey game
on Saturday, March 4, downing Sea -
forth 7-3.
K. McNairn was the goal getter
for Mitchell by scoring three, Weber
was right behind him with two. Bill
O'Shea got two of Seaforth's. There
were fourteen penalties during the
game, Nicholson topped the parade
with four. At the end of the 1st per-
iod, Mitchell 3, Seaforth 1; 2nd
period, Mitchell 5, ,Seaforth 1; 3rd
period, Mitchell 7, Seaforth 3.
Juveniles played Kincardine on
Friday night, score 12-3 for Kincar-
dine. The return game, Saturday
night at Seaforth, resulted 4-1 for
Kincardine, who became W.O.A.A.
Juvenile winners,
DUNCAN CUP
The Duncan Cup play-offs were
held Saturday morning March 4. The
Hawks won the close game by de-
feating the Bruins 7-3. The champ-
ions will be given a banquet in the
near future.
PEEWEES
The Red Wings were champions in
the Peewee League by winning a
•close 3-2 victory over the Rangers.

Mrs. Albert Vodden -
Funeral services were held alt the
Boll and Mutch Funeral Home, .High
St., Clinton, on Saturday, Feb, 25,
1050. for Lydia Irene Ferris, be-
loved wife of Albert Vodden, Blyth.
Rev, W. J. Rogers of Blyth united
Church officiated and interment fol-
lowed in Clinton Cemetery,
Pallbearers were William Lovett,
Ira Rapson, Grant and Harry Snell,
Derwin Carter and Arthur Hayward.
Flower hearers were Walter Bewley,
Edward Bell and 1•Iarolil Ferris.
14rs. Vodden, youngest daughter
of the late Robert Ferris and Lydia
Jenkins, was born in Hallett Town-
ship, and had spent her entire' life -
lime in the Hullett and Blyth area.
Following- her marriage she and iter
ltnsl,and had taken up farming near
Lelide:d ero and continued to reside
there till last October when they re-
tired and moved to Blyth, leaving
the farm on account of Mrs. Vod-
den's poor health. Mrs, Vodden was
identified with Blyth United Church,
Mrs, Vodden had suffered for over
a year with a heart ailment but had
only been seriously i11 for four days
when her death occurred in Clinton
Public Hospital on Thursday after -
loon, February 28,

hani, and sister, Mrs. H, R. Ninmto,
Toronto.
We wish to extend sincere syrn-
pathv to all the sisters and brothers
and friends.
We were sorry to hear of the
death of Miss Jean Hamilton of
Clinton, but formerly of this com-
munity, and wish to extend sincere
sympathy to her sister, Mrs. Annie
Leiper of Harlock, and Miss Agnes
Leiper of Clinton and all the friends.
Mr. and Mrs, James Scott and
family, formerly of Toronto, moved
last week to the faint they recently
purchased from Mrs. Albert Brig-
ham, We wish them every success of
their new !'atm, They have been Hy-
inc for about nine months. with Mr,

ner. A delicious lunch brought the
evening to a close.
