NOTICE TO
TARIO MOTORISTS
Re Unsatisfied Judgment
Fund Fee
Under an amendment to the Highway Traffic Act enacted in 1947, pro-
vision was made for the creation of an Unsatisfied Judgment Fund out of
which will be paid, in the manner prescribed, judgments for personal
injuries and property damage sustained by reason of the operation of
motor vehicles, which cantiot be collected in the ordinary manner from
the judgment debtors.
The method prescribed for creating the Fund is the collection of a special
fee, when required, from each person to whom is issued either an operator's
or a chauffeur's licence.
While this legislation has been in effect since the 1st of July, 1947, the
Unsatisfied Judgment Fund Fee has been collected only since January
1st, 1949.
Total fees collected for the Fund and repayments to the Fund from January
lst to Dedember 31st, 1949, amounted to $638,430.37
Judgments paid out of the Fund from July 1st, 1947, to December 31st,
1949, amounted to $630,644.03
As there is not now sufficient in the Fund to pay judgments for a period "
of a year, an Unsatisfied Judgment Fund Fee ' 50c will be collected from
each person to whom is issued a 1950 operator's or chauffeur's licence.

which was much appreciated by the
large gathering that was assembled.
On this occasion the 'Church and

present Mr. R. B. Rogerson with a
fine present on his departure to Sea -
forth. The following letter was read
by Wrp. Britton. Mr. R. R. Roger-
son vest' fittingly replied thanking
then for the gift.
We the members and adherents of
Constance United Church have as-
sembled together this evening to pay
tribute to the oldest member of our
Church, brother Robert Rogerson,
who has given of his long life of ser-
vice to the carrying on of all the ac-
tivities of the Church, and also the
fellowship which we as members all
enjoyed. In taking your 'departure
to another field of service, though
not to be very far from us, we hear
the saying "To you we throw the
torch, be yours to hold it high".
And so in our humble fashion wish
to express in some small way a re-
membrance; We therefore present
you with this chair and bed lamp, as
a token of esteem, and may you be
long spared to enjoy them. Signed
on behalf of the congregation, the
session and Sunday School.

SPORTSHORTS
The Seaforth Juniors were victor-
ious in another W.O.A.A. "C" con-
test, on Saturday night, when they
hooked up with the Walkerton team.
The local boys cane out on the top
end of an 8-1 score.
The ice was very, thin and in
spots sand was showing through, so
the game was shortened to a
straight -time affair, The poor condi-
tion of the ice made the game rath-
er slow but even so the Seaforthites
kept the Walkerton net -minder busy
by holding the puck in the Walker-
ton zone during much of the game.
Seaforth outshot the Lakeshore boys
48-8.
It was .Seaforth's game from the
very first whistle and though they
had two men in the penalty box the
Walkerton wings could not break
through the strongiSeaforth defence.
With only one minute to go, Walk-
erton scored their only goal with
(Sutter getting the counter on a pass
from Geisler..
