Wall- ington, Moose Jaw, Sask. Rev. Father 1Vlitchell, C:S.P, officiated at the ceremony and the Nuptial„,Mass, and the organist was Mr. Clifford Williams, Toronto. The soloist, Mr. Hugh McNeil, Toronto, sang "0 Sac- red Heart, 0 Love Divine,” "Ave Maria" and "Penis Angelicus". The bride, who was given in mar- riage by her brother, Mr. James At- kinson, Wallaceburg, wore a baller- ina -length gown of white nylon net over taffeta featuring an applique bodice, lace jacket and bouffant skirt. Her illusion finger-tip veil was held in place by a pearl -studded ti- ara, She carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations with stephanotis. Her only attendant ws Miss Joycelyn Ferady, gowned in a balereina-length dress of rose nylon net over taffeta, with matching bandeau trimmed with irridescent beads. Her flowers were blue, white and pink baby mums. The best man was Mr. John Rose, Toron- to, and the ushers were Mr. Vincent Hall, Toronto, and Mr. Cyril Brown, Sebringville. a wed - Following the ceremony, ding dinner was served at the King Edward Hotel to the immediate rel- atives. The bride's mother received -wearing a turquoise blue gown with black velvet hat and tea -rose cor- sage. She was assisted by the bride- groom's mother wearing a ,black frock with pink velvet hat and cor- sage of pink roses. For the honeymoon trip to North- ern Michigan and Chicago, the bride chose a grayish -blue ensemble with fur jacket, coral hat and matching corsage. Mr. and Mrs, Wallington will reside in Hamilton. Mr. Vernon Oeseh, who spent a few days at London in the interest of his health, returned home again feeling some better. Mrs. B. Faber and daughter of Kippen called on Mr. and Mrs. H. Finlay and family. Mrs. Oscar Ducharme returned re- cently from St. Joseph's Hospital where she underwent a strenuous operation. Her many friends hope she will soon regain her strength. Mr. Elmer 'Desch is down with the mumps. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Weidrick are in London this Tuesday seeing about their little daughter, who is in Sick Childrens' Hospital. 'Many are attending local Fall Fairs these sunny days, at Zurich and Bayfield. Some are busy harvest- ing beans and sowing wheat. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Baechler and family were visited by relatives from near Kitchener. HENSALL A. G. Smillie Word was received here of the death of A. 'G. Smillie of Toronto, former Hensall resident, who' died at the home of his son Dr. Ivan G. Smil- lie, Kamloops. B.C., where 'he had gone to visit two weeks ago. Mr. Smillie was born in the Hensall dis- trict and farmed here many years, taking up residence in Toronto. La- ter he retired to Hensall, and fol- lowing the death of his wife went to Toronto. Surviving are three sons Murray, Toronto; Stewart, St. Cath- arines; Dr. Ivan Smillie, Kamloops, B.C. The body will be taken to Tor- onto, where services will be held on Wednesday.
