tingent of Seaforth District High
School pupils was led by the High
School Cadet Band,
The best ;float in the parade, ac-
cording to the judging •results, was
that of the Seaforth Women's Insti-
tute, with the Seaforth Junior Insti-
tute float second,. and the .Boy Scout
float third. The parade of floats was
led by the traeter and plow recently
bought for the agricultural depart-
ment of the Seaforth District High
School.

4-H BEEF CALF CLUB
A big show -ring was too small to
hold the show, when 66 members of
1-11 Beef Calf Club in Iluron com-
peted here Friday in the county beef
calf championship show, To achieve
results in the judging of the 66
sleek, plump, loth slung calves that
were on hand for the show, the class
of e6 had to he divided into steer
an,' heifer sections, and then each
section was graded in throe groupe
for the final stage of ,judging.
From the top group of heifer
calves, the calf shown by Lois Web-
ster, 11.11. 2, Auburn, emerged as
one of the two grand champions in
the class. From the top group of
;neer calves, Gerald Wallis' entry
survived the final round of ;judging
as the grand champion steer calf.

adjudged the best showman, when 16
members of the Seaforth 4-11 Beef
Calf Club held their annual achieve-
ment day Friday, in conjunction with,
Seaforth Fall Fair, Ten of the calves
were judged in the ether class in
which the Hieknell entry took top
place. Three were judged as senior
heifers, with Paul Murray, R.R. 2,
Walton, showing the best animal of
the three; three were judged as jun-
ior heifers, with Bill Strong, R.R. 2,
Dublin, showing the top calf of the
three..
In the showmanship competition,
all 16 competitors paraded in one
class. The show was directed by Har-
old Baker, assistant agricultural re-
presentative for Huron, assisted by
the club leaders, Bob Campbell, R.
R. 1, Dublin, and James Scott, R.R.
2, Seaforth.

McKillop Grain Club
Twenty-one boys brought out sam-
ples of grain, from grain plots they
had grown and harvested themselves
to make up a club show at Seaforth
Fall Fair on Friday. Robt. A Broad -
foot, R.R. 1, Brucefield, won top
honors for the day, when his grain
sample was scored at 180 points of a
possible 200.

The Seaforth Stores will close on Saturday nights during
the months of October, November and December at 9 P.M.
For your Christmas shopping the stores will remain open
on Wednesday afternoons on Dec. 15 and Dec. 22. Also will
be open two nights before Christmas, Dec, 23, Dec. 24 until
9 P.M. to help you in your shopping.
Starting Saturday, Jan. Sth, 1955, the Stores will close on
Saturday night at 6 P.M. for the months of January, Feb-
ruary and March.
The first Saturday night in April 1955 the Stores will be
open until 9 P.M., and start to stay open first Saturday in
May until 10 P.M.
