Tall standards of white gladioli
and ferns formed the setting for a
pretty doublering ceremony in the
Hensall .United Church, Sat., Sept.
18, at 8 p.m., when Rev. W. J. Rog-
gers united in marriage Elizabeth
Mary, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Geo. Armstrong, Hensall, and 'Don-
ald •Roy Flear, son of Mr. and Mrs,
Roy Flear, Grand Bend,
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride was lovely in a chalk
white gown of hand -clipped rose
point lace and nylon tulle over satin.
The bouffant skirt was fashioned
with a lace apron. The fitted 'bodice
was of satin and lace with scalloped
neckline and long lily -point lace
sleeves. A tiara of ,pearls and rhine-
stone held the finger-tip veil of ny-
lon tulle. She carried a bouquet of
pink delight roses, and wore a pearl
necklace with matching earrings -the
gift of the groom. Miss Jean Arm-
strong of London, sister of the bride
was maid of .honor. The brides-
maids were Miss Betty Moir, London,
and Mrs. Dennis I+lear, Dorchester,
The attendants wore identical floor -
length gowns of nylon tulle over taf-
feta in three shades of blue with
taffeta boleros and matching feather
headdress and mitts. They carried
bouquets of pink briarcliffe roses.
The groom was attended by his
brother, Mr. Dennis Flear of Dor-
chester. The ushers were Mr. Harry
Armstrong, brother of the bride and
Mr. Donald Cowan of iHensall. Miss
Greta Lammie was organist. Mr.
Kenneth Flear, brother of the groom
was soloist.
The reception was held at Monetta
Menard's, Exeter. The bride's mother
received, wearing a dior blue crepe
dress with navy accessories and cor-
sage of .Hilldegarde roses. The
groom's mother received wearing a
french blue crepe dress with navy
accessories and corsage of Hillde-
garde roses.' The bride presented her
bouquet to the groom's grandmother,
Mrs. W. J. Pieta,- of Toronto, who
was present for the ceremony.
The bride donned a rose grey wool
dress with matching coat and hat
with navy accessories and corsage of
White carnations for ,the wed'din'g
trip to Montreal and Quebec. They
will reside in Grand •Bend.
