Apply to phone 352141 Seaforth CHAIRMEN NAMED FOR COUNTY CNIB CAMPAIGN Campaign Chairmen for Canadian National Institute for the Blind's an- nual operating fund campaign have been appointed throughout Huron and Perth Counties. E. F. Wheeler, Field Sec., said C.N.I.B. required public contribu- tions of 550,500. to operate its field services and the recently -completed regional home for the blind in Lon- don. The campaign begins September 20 and ends October 2. Mr. Wheeler said chairmen in communities of the three counties were optimistic that the 1054 target would be reached. Community Chests in London, Stratford and St. Thomas have al- ready pledged $34,500, while Muni- cipal and County Council grants to- tal $5,000. This leaves 511,000 to be raised by public subscription, di- vided $3,500 from Huron, $4,500 from Middlesex, and $3,000 from Perth. Hanna, 21, who was kill- ed last Saturday in an automobile accident near Gravenhurst, Service was in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Wingham.Burial in the Wingham cemetery. Mr. Hanna was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Hanna. Mr. Han- na is the Progressive Conservatitive member of the Ontario Legisture for Huron -Bruce. The youth was killed when his convertible collided with an oil truck five miles south of Graven - burst, Also injured was Stewart Nimmo, 20 -year-old son of the Rev. Alex Nimmo, W i n g h a m Presbyterian Church. He is in critical condition with brain injuries. The youth's car had been pulled out of a ditch where it was stuck a few minutes before the accident, A passing tractor helped them. Mr. Nimmo, who was 'on vacation in Eastern Canada, hurried to Brace- bridge Hospital. John Manna was about to enter his third year at the University of West- ern Ontario, where he planned' to take a business administration •de- gree. He was a good student and was well liked by his fellow students and professors. In 1949 he was awarded the A.D. MaoWilllam Trophy as the best ath- lete in Wingham high School, Ile was an enthusiastie football and basketball player and sang in the glee club.
