E. A. McMASTER. MAYOR God Save the Queen ALVA J. WALKER Alva J. Walker, former funeral director and furniture store business man at Wingham, died Saturday in the Wingham General Hospital. He was (34. He had retired from busi- ness in 1948 owing to ill health. He was a native of Brussels, and a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Walk- er. He was past master of the Ma- sonic Lodge, No. 286, a member of the I.O;O.F., the Loyal Orange Lodge, former member of the Lions Club, and a member of the Wingham United Church. He had previously Funeral Service Association. Surviv- ing besides his wife, the former Olive M. Chapman, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Chapman, Sea - forth, are four daughters, Mrs. N. A. Moffitt, Toronto; Mrs. 1(fDr.) !Bruce Fox, Guelph; Mrs. G. Galbraith, Brussels, and Mr's. John Heal, Hen- sail; five sisters Mrs, A. A. Flem- ing, Windsor; fMrs. C. C. McIntyre, Peterborough; Mrs. C. Devlin, Toron- to; Mrs. W. J.-K.err, Toronto, and Ml's. G. L. Baker, Parry Sound. Mi', Hannah lives with his dnnghter, Mrs. Sherry, at 202 Iary- 11u1d St, They found him looking very well although somewhat hard of hea1'ing hismemory seems very good.
