BOYES—STURGEON Trinity Church, Bayfield, taste- fully decorated with daffodils and white tapers, was the scene of a pretty wedding on Thursday after- noon, April 15, 1954, at 2.80 o'clock when Donna Anne Sturgeon, young- est daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Sturgeon, Bayfield, became the\bride of John Alexander Boyes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Boyes, Seaforth. The ceremony was performed by the rentorRev, E. Carew -Jones. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was beautiful in a floor - length strapless gown of white ny- lon, Tho bouffant skirt was fashion- ed in double net over satin with panels of lace in front, and jacket of lace with long pointed sleeves. Her elbow -length veil, bordered in My -of -the -valley, was caught by a crown of pearls and sequins. She wore an ankle -length, strapless gown of star- let blue nylon net over taffeta with a net jacket. A bandeau held a clust- er of pale blue 'mums in her hair, and her bouquet was also of pale blue 'mums. Sandra Elaine Irwin, niece :of the bride was flower girl. Her frock was of pink satin, made with long erino- lined skirt, net overskirt and puff sleeves. •She wore a band of pink flowers in her hair and carried a nosegay of white carnations and pale blue 'mums. Master Jimmy Boyes, nephew of the groom was ring bearer, carry- ing it in a waxed white rose, Grant McLean, Hensall, was the groomsman. Tho ushers were Ed Boyes, Sea - forth, uncle df the groom, and Glen Sturgeon, brother of the bride. Mrs. Everett Smith, Seaforth, played traditional wedding music on the organ and accompanied the soloist, Miss 'Agnes Chisolm, Goder- ich, who sang 'Because" while the guests were arriving, and "I'll walk beside you" and "I love you truly" during the signing of the register. The reception was held at "Milrob Farm", the home of the bride's sist- er. Pink and white streamers decor- ated the arch and tables and white tapers and daffodils added to the ar- tistic effect. Mrs, Willard Sturgeon wore a .black taffeta frock with peach hat and accessories, and a corsage of white carnations. ' The groom's mother chose navy blue crepe with matching hat and accessories accented by a corsage of white chrysanthemums. School chums of the bride Misses Barbara and Shirley Brandon and, Marion Makins served the wedding luncheon.
