Easter Services Held.
St, Andrew's United Church 'here
was a profusion of spring flowers for
the special Baster services on Sunday
morning, Eleven joined the church on
Profession of Ftiith, and 13 by certi-
ficate, with communion service fol-
lowing Elaine Bell and Bonnie Kyle
sang the duet 0 Calvary. The choir'
rendered the anthem, We Too Shall
Live, with Miss J. Ivison at the organ.
Mr. John Sinclair presented two new
offering plates in memory of his Par-
ents, the late Mr. and Mrs. William
Sinclair. Rev. McLeod made the
dedication.
Au outdoor lighted church sign was
recently erected outside the church by
Mr, Duncan Cooper and Mr: D. E.
Kyle. Special mention of gratefulness
was made of it by Rev, McLeod.
An informal service with special
music by the choir and congregation

life of Miss Agnes Hislop, missionary
in India, was given by Miss Alice
Sorsdahl. A film strip, Footsteps of
the Risen Saviour, was shown. Spec-
ial musical numbers were rendered by
the male quartette. Mr. Duncanson
closed the meeting with the bene-
diction.
A special Easter message was de-
livered by the pastor, Rev. R. Dun-
canson to a large congregation on
Sunday morning, and appropriate
Easter music was provided by the
choir and the male quartette.
The Y.P.S. Easter service was held
on Sunday with Miss Margaret Walk-
er in charge. The scripture lesson
was read by Miss Joy Vivian which
was followed with prayer by Mr. Alex
Meikle. The Y.P. choir provided spe-
cial music. Mr. Lloyd Sarsdahl had
charge of the topic. Mr. Duncanson
closed the meeting with prayer.
Mr. and Mrs. W. Crawford celebrat-
ed the fortieth anniversary of their
marriage on Thursday evening with
all members of their family present.
Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Currie and Miss
Caroline Walker, London, spent the
week end 'with Mr, and Mrs. Otto
Walker.

pleted at our next meeting. The
Supply Secretary reported the ma-
terial for the Presbyterial bale had
'leen purchased and forwarded. In
response to the desparate need in
Korea it was decided to purchase
goods by the yard. The women can
then make it into costumes as worn
in that country. Donations of money
may be placed on the offering plate
in envelopes marked, for Korea, or
given to Mrs. H. Dalrymple.
Mrs. W. Fotheringham gave a
message from the Christian Steward-
ship Department. The program Rd=
lief for Korea was in charge of Mrs.
L. Eyre, assisted by Mrs. B. Keys,
Mrs. J. Cornish and Mrs. W. J. Me -
Beath. Mrs. R. Aslan gave a very in-
spiring Easter talk, taking as her
subject, Hope, and Mrs. J. Cairns
sang as a solo, There is a Green Hill
Far Away. The president closed the
meeting with prayer.
