Mr. and Mrs. S. Beattie and fam-
ily •of Wingham visited on Sunday
with Mrs. Robt. McBride.
Chicken Pox are invading several
homes in the village.
'Communion .Service will be held in
St. Andrew's United Church on Sun-
day morning. Preparatory cervices
will be held on Friday evening, all
members are requested to be present
at both of these services.
WMS Meet
The April meeting of the WMS
was held on Wednesday afternoon at
the home of Mrs. Bruce MeGregor1
with Mrs. John ,Sinclair as co -hostess.,
Mrs. Emerson Anderson took charge
of the meeting which opened with'
hymn 86. Mrs. Wilmer Jones was in
charge of the ~worship, Mrs, Harry
Caldwell gave the history of a hymn
Hymn 81 was sung. Mrs. Russel
Broderick of Hensall sang a solo ac-
companied by Mrs. Ross Broadfoot,
Mrs, Allan Johnson reported for tho
visiting committee. Mrs. Morley
Cooper and Mrs. J. W. McLean are
the visitors for March. Mrs. McLean
read a thankyou card from Mrs. Rev.
Minton. There were 26 members an-
swered the roll call and there were
b visitors. Mrs. E. Kyle moved that
a collection be taken for Supply
Work, it was seconded by Mrs. A.
McMurtrie. The 'Presbyterial was dis•
cussed and Mrs, Allan Johnson and
Mrs. Wilmer Jones were appointed
as morning delegates; Mrs. Kyle and
Mrs. McLeod were appointed to at-
tend the afternoon session. Mrs. Kyle
introduced the guest speaker, Mrs.
Rev. Rogers of Hensall, who gave a
very interesting and inspiring ad-
dress. Mrs, Anderson read an Easter
verse, Hymn 485 was sung. Mrs. Me-
Murtrie extended thanks to the host-
esses and guest speaker. Mrs. Ander-
son closed the meeting with prayer.
Lunch was served by Circle 3.

and Mrs. Ella Hunkin, Exeter; Mr.
and Mrs. Al Pearce and daughters

Weekend visitors with Mr. Henry
Ivison and Jean were Mrs. Gould
and Mrs. Balfour of Guelph and Miss
Greta Gould R.N., who is home on
Furlough from Formosa, Japan.

SEAFORTH JUNIOR INSTITUTE
Ruth Keyes, president of the Sea-
forth Junior Institute, presided over
the meeting in the Seaforth District
High School on April lst. The meet-
ing was opened with the Opening
Ode followed by the Lord's Prayer.
The roll call was answered by "The
Year I'd like to relive and Why".
This proved very interesting with a
variety of answers. At this meeting
the new officers for 1954-55 were
installed by the president of the
Senior Institute, Mrs, Sandy Pepper.

Church on Sunday for Mr. and Mrs.
Aug. Bauer, who celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary, they were
placed there by their brothers and
sisters. Several hydrangea plants
were also placed in the church by
Mr, and Mrs. Aug. Bauer in memory
of Mr. and Mrs. George Querenges-
ser, and several baskets from the
funeral of Harry Beuerman.
Mr. and Mrs, Milton Eickmeir, Ro-
gei: and Gary of Detroit spent the
weekend with his parents, Mr. and
Mrs, George Eickmeir.
