John Williams, 21, of R. R. 1,
Varna, was taken to South Huron
Hospital, Exeter, early on SundaY ,
morning after the car he was driving
-kidded into the front steps of D. E.
Kyles general store. Mr. Williams
was driving north on No. 4 highway
when his car hit the shoulder and
skidded sideways into the store. The
1938 model car was wrecked to the:
extent of $300.00. Provincial Pollee
Cecil Gibbons of Exeter investigated.
Mr, and Mrs. Joseph Lostell and
family visited on Saturday with Mrs.
Lostell's sister and brother-in-law,

British Knit Demonstration at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Alec McGreg-
or. The demonstrator was D'Irs.. Mc-
Gregor's sister, Mrs. Joyce Riley in
Seaforth.
Mr. Norman Dickert spent Wed-
nesday with his mother, Mrs. Dick-
ert in Clifford.

H. F. (Harry) Beuermann
Henry F. .(Harry) Beuermann,
well known resident of Brodhagen,
died in Scott Memorial Hospital,
Seaforth, on April 3rd. in his 69th
year. He had been failing in health
since July, 1962, and had been con-
fined to his bed for the past six
months and as a patient in the hos-
pital for the past three weeks. He
was a son of the late Henry Beuer-
mann and his wife, the late Kather-
ine Koehler Beuermann. Born in Mc-
Killop twp on Dec. 21, 1885, on July
30, 1913, he was married to Edith
C. Eisler. They lived in McKillop
twp. until a year after their mar-
riage, since then in Brodhagen. He
was a member -of St. Peter's Luther-
an Church, Brodhagen. Besides his
wife he is survived by four sons;
Harvey and Alfred of 1Seaforth•
Stanley of Kitchener; and Frank at
home; one daughter, Mrs. Alvin
-(Eva) Pryce, Kitchener; four broth-
ers, Daniel and Norman of McKillop
twp., Edward of Milton, Emanuel of
Brodhagen; one sister, Mrs. Rhinold
(Martha) Kahle -of Mitchell; nine
grandchildren. A. brief service was
held at his late home on Monday at
2 'p.m„ followed by service in St,
Peter's Lutheran Church, Brodhagen
with Rev. Walter Becker officiating.'
Burial was in St. Peter's Lutheran
cemetery, Brodhagen,

CROP REPORT
The demand for swine breeding
stock continues. Boar owners re-
port increased sow breedings. The
lamb crop is arriving and some farm-
ers have commenced shearing oper-
ations. Colder weather and 4-6 inches
of snow at the close of the week
are a vast contrast to two years ago
when seeding was about completed.
