Many from here attended the Co - Op banquet in the+community centre in Zurich on Thursday evening last. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Love of Caro, Mich. visited the latter's sister and brother-in-law, Mr, and Mrs. Robt. Dalrymple and family last week. Coigratulations to Miss Caroi Mc- Murtrie, on passing her examinations in hairdressing in London last week. Miss McMurtvie intends opening' a beauty parlor in Hensall in the near future. We wish her every success. Mr. and Mrs. Lorne' Schneider and family of Stratford and Mr. and Mrs. Cornish and family of Goder- ich were recent visitors with Mr. Robert Thomson. Mr. Bob Love of the Toronto Uni- versity spent the weekend with Ms parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Love. Mr. and Mrs. Pat Curran of Lon- don, Mrs. Jennie Schilbe of Exeter visited recently with Mrs. MoOly- mont. Mr. and Mrs. Beverly Beaton of Goderich visited one clay last week. with the latter's father, Mr. Jonah Green, who is ill. Mr. and Mrs, Irvine Dickert of Clifford spent Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. Norman Dickert. Mrs. Robert MacGregor, Mrs. Nor- man Dickert and Merle spent Mon- day in London. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Cudmore and Lorne of London were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. S. 'Cud - more. Parr Line Farm Forum held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Wei - do, Feb. 15. There were 23 present. Subject •of meeting was Farm Policy in relation to production. We think that a world food bank would be the solution to the problem of our sur- plus. This should be under the sup- ervision of the F. A. 0. As it will be some time before this will be in op- eration, we think that farmers should continue (their normal pro- duction and set up marketing 'boards somewhat similar to the Bean Mar- keting Board where a deduction is taken from each bushel sold. If this Money is needed to stabilize prices it is used, if not it is paid back to the grower. We feel that only in cases of emergency should a two - price system' be used as nature will take care 'of the surpluses in due time. The Huron County Court House was discussed. It was unani- mously agreed that the Old County Court House should be retained as a historic site and possible location for First Presbyterian Church Rev. D. The invi- tation extended by Duff's to join with them for the World's Day of Prayer was accepted. The next meet- ing will be held March 11.
