REMINISCENCES
(By Fred J, Lawrence)
In the passing of the late Charles
Sills, Seaforth's popular Postmaster,
our district has lost a public ser-
vant, who will be missed for many a
day. Row can his close associates
ever forget his winning morning
smile, or his ever jocund speech,
which seemed thoroughly unassumed,
As a student at the Seaforth Col-
legiate Institute, his attitude
marked by steady and punctilious
application to the work in hand.
With his immediate associates he
counted his lot fortunate to be under
the tutelage of "a gentleman and a
scholar", the late Charles Clarkson,

that men do, lives after them". This
is a truism. We still have, in mem-

The OX
and the Frog
A LITTLE FROG was playing about at the edge of a
pool when an Ox came down to the water to drink.
In fear, the little frog swam home. "Why are you so
frightened?" asked his mother. "An enormous
creature with four legs came to our pool this
morning," replied the little frog. "Enormous, was he?
Was he as big as this?" asked the mother Frog,
puffing herself out to look as big as possible. "Ohl
yes, much bigger," was the answer. The mother
Frog puffed herself out still more, "Was
he t as
big as this?" said she. "Ohl yes, Y
MUCH bigger," said the little frog. And yet
again she puffed herself out. "As big as ...?"
she began—but then she burst.
