WALTON
The regular meeting of Walton W.
M. S. was held in the schoolroom of
Duff's United Church on Thursday,
Dec. 3rd at 2 p.m, Ml's. H. Johnston
the president, 'presided, opening• the
meeting with hymn 62, and prayer.
The secretary's and treasurer's re-
ports were read and approved. 25 an-
swered the roll call. After the wor-
ship service in Missionary Monthly,
the groups gave their reports, all re-
ported a splendid year. Mrs, McCall
read the slate of officers for 1954.
A motion was put before* the
meeting for their approval, carried.
The 16th group with Mrs, Jas. Mc-
Donald as leader, gave a chapter
from our study book, Where'er the
Sun, Mrs. II, Johnston closed the
meeting with hymn 21 and prayer.
The December meeting of the W.
A. of Walton United Church met on
Thursday afternoon in the church
basement with rt good attendance.
The meeting opened with hymn 51,
Scripture reading by Mrs, Turnbull
followed by prayer. See. report was
then read and also thankyou cards.
Treasurer's report was then given
showing a balance of $341.63 on
hand. Several items of business were
dealt with. Mrs. ,Thomas moved. a
vote of thanks to Mrs. Turnbull, the
retiring president, for her splendid
week in the nest years. The meeting
closed with the tnizpah benediction.
TUCKERSMITH
The December meeting of the
Tuckersmith Ladies' Club was held at
the home of Mrs, Alden Crich with
91 members and 7 visitors and a
number of children present, The
