Miss Bernice Jinks nursein-train- ing at Victoria Hospital, London, visited this week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Manley Jinks. Mrs. M. Eaerette Ml's. Margaret Eacrette, 84, died suddenly at the 'home of her daugh- ter, Mrs, Fred Hancock, in Toronto, last week. The former Marga}'et In- gram, who lived most of her life in Hensall and Hay Township. Her hus- band, Robert Eacrette, died in 1936: Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Foster Boger and Mrs. Earl Boger, Detroit•' Mrs. Fred 'Hancock, Toron- to andone brother George Ingram, Portland, Oregon. Funeral service was conducted 'by Rev. J. B. Fox from the Bonthron Funeral Home on Saturday, Interment in Exeter Cem- etery. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Parlmer of Windsor were recent visitors with Mrs. T. Parlmer and Mrs. J. Fisher, Mrs. Inez McEwen visited this week with Mr. and Mrs. Wm, Cook in London and attended the funeral of the late,Miss Lily McEwen. Mr. and Mrs. Gus Voth and fam- ily •of Detroit visited over the week- end with Mrs. Voth's mother, Mrs. Lou Simpson. Miss Shirley Ohapman, nurse -in - training at Victoria Hospital, Lon- don, visited this weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Chap- man. Amber Lodge Meets • The Amber Rebekah Lodge #349 meeting was held on Friday, Nov. 20th in the lodge rooms with Noble .Grand, Mrs, Dorothy Parker in the chair. A donation of $25 was voted towards the platform rockers for the County Horne at Clinton, this being the project sponsored by Mrs, Kay Cann D.D.P., Exeter. Members were urged to raise talent money towards this project. A Christmas party and gift exchange is being held at the meeting, Dec. 16, also a donation of used clothing for the Children's Aid Society at Goderich Mr. Peter Mc- Naughton was voted in as a trustee for a three-year term along with Mr. Norman Jones and Mr. Archie Par- sons. Mrs. Eva Carlisle, Mrs. Nancy Kyle and Mrs. Bertha MacGregor expressed thanks for cards received. The next meeting which will be held Dec. 2, will be a social meeting when members of the Ilderton Lodge will be guests. Mise Lily McEwen Miss Lily Maude McEwen, former Hensall and Kitchener resident, died Sunday in St. Marys Hospital, Lon- don, after a two-year illness. Daugh- ter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William McEwen, she was horn on the fam- ily homestead a quarter mile south of Hensall on Highway No. 4 and lived many years there. She resided. in .Kitchener until 1943, when she moved to London to live at 126 Syd- enham St. She was a member of Metropolitan United Church, Lon- don. Surviving are a sister, Miss Ed- ith McEwen, London, and a brother Mr. John E. McEwen, Hensall. The funeral was held on Tuesday from the Evans Funeral Home, Lon- don, conducted by Rev. Ann Graham of Metropolitan United Church, with interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. and Mrs. Carlisle Wilkinson and family of Marlette!
