Mrs. Edna Corbett of Exeter spent a few days this week with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Corbett. Mr, and Mrs. Harvey Hillgartner of London visited recently with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Fink. Mr. Fred Beer, who has been re- ceiving treatment at Westminster Hospital, London, was able to return to his home last week. Mrs. Tetreau of Zurich spent the weekend with Mrs. Donald Mac- Arthur. Miss Mabel Whiteman of Kippen spent a few days last week visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Basil Edwards. Mrs. A. Lammie Dies Suddenly Mrs. Agnes Laramie, 85, died sud- denly at her home here on Saturday night following a heart attack. She was the former Agnes Hunter, and has resided in Hensall for 50 years. Her husband, William Laramie died several years ago. Mrs. Lammie was born in Usborne twp. and although blind for many years was active in Red Cross work, and made the first donation in the Huron County CNIB Fund. She was a member of the Hensall United Church. Surviving are one son Ray Lammie, Postmaster of Centralia, and two daughters, Amy, teacher with the GNI'B at London, and Greta at borne. The funeral service was held on Tuesday from the Bonthron Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. W.' J. Rogers. Interment in Exeter Ceme- tery. Dr. W. Geiger, 71, Dies Suddenly Mr. Edmund Geiger received word of the sudden death of his bro- ther, Dr. William Geiger, 71, in ,Wa- terloo on Saturday. The deceased was born at Zurich where he spent his earlier life, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Owen Geiger of Hensall. He taught school at Dashwood, then went to Toronto, and after graduat- ing started to practice in Waterloo where he has been ever since. Surviving besides his wife; the former Grace Martin of London, are three sons William and Owen, Wat- erloo, James at Yale, University, one daughter Helen of Hamilton, four brothers, Edmund, Hensall, formerly of London, Rora, Kitchen - err Sidney, Inspector of Public Schools, Manitoulin Island; Ira, Hen- sall; one sister, Mrs. Erie Kennedy, Hamilton.
