The United Church here was the
setting for the wedding of Charlotte
Alice Ruth Scott and FO. Leon John
Rushcall, The bride is the daughter
of Mr, and Mrs, Ross Scott, Bruce -
field, and the groom, of Lachine,
Quebec, is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Leon A. Rushcall, Fernie, B.C.
The Rev. W. J. Maines officiated
and Mrs. J. R. Murdoch provided
the wedding music. Mr. and Mrs.
James A. Stewart sang,
For her wedding, the bride chose
a gown of white embroidered Swiss
organdy styled with scallops of em-
broidery forming an off -the -should-
er neckline on the short -sleeved
bodice. The skirt and cathedral train
were completely ruffled and worn
with a crinoline. Her fingertip veil of
French illusion was held by a jewel-
led tiara and she carried a white
Bible crested with a white orchid,
adorned with streamers and holding
white French carnations.
Mrs. Kenneth Scott, was matron
of honor, and Mrs. Betty Brentnall,
Burlington, and Miss Mary Beattie,
Varna, Ont., were bridesmaids. Mies
Gail Garniss, London, was flower
girl and Ronald Scott, ring bearer,
Attendants were gowned similarly
in embroidered Swiss organdy with
white picture hats and carried nose-
gays of red cantations.
The flower girl wore a gown simi-
lar to that worn by the bride and
carried a nosegay of red carnations.
F. L. Steven J. Pus, Ottawa, was
groomsman and Kenneth A. Scott,
brother of the bride, and 3'0. David
Haire, Clinton, ushered,
A reception followed at the home
of the bride's parents, when the
bride's mother, gowned in a Dior
blue shantung
costume suit t with
burgundyuttd accessories and corsage of
matehing rosebuds, received guests,
assisted by the groom's mother,
gowned in rosewood crepe and lace
dress with navy accessories and cor-
sage of yellow rosebuds.
For a motor trip through 'North-
ern Ontario, the bride travelled in a
navy shantung suit with matching
accessories and white orchid ror-
sage. The couple will reside in Mon-
treal, Quebec,

and gladioli at the home of the
bride's parents, on August 21, Lois
Lorraine, daughter of Mr, and Mrs.
William T. Livingston, R.R. 2, Sea -
forth, :became the bride of Beverly
Leverne Alexander, R.R. 1, Hensall,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Alex-
ander R.R. 1, Hensall.
Rev, Thomas 3. White, Constance
United C h u r c h, performed the
double ring ceremony. Mrs. Gerald
Dustow, Port Albert accompanied
the soloist, Miss Marjorie Currie,
Clinton, as she sang, "Because", and
"Through the Years".
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore white nylon net and
Chantilly lace over slipper satin,
styled with the lace extending into
a fulI skirt to form petals. The bo-
dice was of lace, and the long
sleeves extended into a point over
the hand. A flowing tulle veil with
Chantilly lace border was attached to
the pearl tiara. She carried a lovely
bouquet of red roses.
Matron of honour was Miss Donna
Fowler, London, who wore a strap-
less dress of pink net over taffeta,
with matehing bolero, Her headdress
was of yellow and white 'mums on
net, and she carried a cascade of
yellow and white 'mums,
Bridesmaid was Miss Marion Al-
exander, sister of the groom. She
wore a strapless gown of lavender
net over satin, with snatching lace
bolero. Her headdress was of yellow
and mauve 'mums, and she carried a
cascade of yellow and mauve 'mums,
A 501510 of the bride, little Miss
Lois Godkin, was flower girl who
wore a dainty dress of mint green
nylon over taffeta trimmed with
white lace yoke, She carried a nose-
gay of yellow and mauve 'mums and
a headdress to match,
Groomsman was Raymond MC -
Carter, Exeter, and "Mervin Godkin
of Walton was usher.
For the reception which followed
in the Hotel Clinton, the bride's
mother received in a dress ;of navy
sheer and a pink rose corsage, She
was assisted by the groom's mother
who wore dusty rose crepe and a
pink rose corsage.
