Mr. and Mrs. Len Houghton, Frank and Leonard Gordon and Jim Bain, Wingham, visited on Sunday with Mrs, McNaughton. Mr. 1. L. Scott is attending the General Assembly meeting in River- dale Presbyterian Church, Toronto, as a delegate from Stratford Pres- bytery. Mr. Ross McKay, Hillsburg, visit- ed with his sister, Mrs. Jas. Howe on Tuesday. The teacher of S.S. No. 6, Mr. Jim Chapman, with his pupils held open house for the people of the section on Monday night. Mr. Clarence Shepherd and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Shepherd of Toron- to were weekend visitor's with rela- tives here. .Miss Peggy Rowcliffe is holiday- ing at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elgin Rowcliffe, A social evening was spent at the Amber Rebekah Lodge meeting on Wednesday evening, during which Miss Winnie Gray, who is leaving the Public School Staff here, was presented with a gift by Mrs. Wm. Caldwell. Miss Etta Jarrott of Toronto spent the weekend with her mother, Mrs, Catharine Jarrott, who is ill. The 'many friends of Mr. Harry Smith are pleased to hear he is much improved in health. Mr. Jelin MacGregor returned home from St. Joseph's Hospital, at London, where he has been receiv- ing treament for the past three weeks. Mrs. Edna Corbett visited recent- ly with her sons and daughters-in- law, Mr. and Mrs, Ed Corbett and Mr, and Mrs. Jack Corbett. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn McNaughton of Toronto were weekend visitors with the formers father, Mr, Lorne McNaughton. Mrs. Lorne McNaughton, who un- derwent a major operation in St, Jo- seph's Hospital, London, is improv- ing.
