Erskine, Goderich, clerk - treasurer of Huron County, Friday night received a wire from the Hon. George H. Doucett, acting premier of Ontario wihch reads as follows: "On return to my office today re- ceived appreciated wires from Tom Pryde, M.P.P., Huron riding, and from L. E. Cardiff, M.P., Huron - North reporting heavy damage to rural areas of Huron County in Monday's severe storm. "Please accept on behalf of the people in the government of Ontario profound sympathy with all who suffered injuries or property losses or both — and this is to assure you that provincial engineering, mechan- ical services, extending to other oommunitiec stricken in May 21st storm will be extended without de- lay to Huron areas that suffered heavy damages as reported. Please keep me informed of your needs through your members or directly." Warden of Huron County, A. W. Kerslake, Hensall, Friday instructed the county clerk to have the county assessor, Alex Alexander, Goderich, work in conjunction with the asses- sors of the five townships of Huron County that suffered . damages in each municipality and forward the information to Toronto. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor -length gown of white nylon net over satin. The shirred bodice was strapless and over it she wore a net jacket with stand- up collar and long lily -point sleeves, The bouffant skirt of net over satin was worn over a crinoline. The overskirt of net with sequins ended in points at the floor. A tiny satin covered headdress studded with pearls held her three -quarter -length veil. She carried a cascade of Am- erican Beauty roses and shadow lace with Adranlnm Fern, The bridesmaids were Donalda Nicholson, of Seaforth, and Jean McKinnon, of Tiverton, niece of the bride, wearing identical costumes of double net over satin with a lace shirred strapless bodice and net jacket worn with lace mittens to match. The matron of honor was Mrs. Wni. Button of Lucknow, twin sist- er of the bride. Her dress was ident- ical in mauve and her flowers were a colonial bouquet of Briarcliffe roses and mauve sweet peas. Robert C. McKenzie of Lucknow was groomsman. Mr. Elmer Umbach of Lucknow was organist and the soloist was James Scott of Seaforth. The ushers were Charles Webster of Lucknow and Robert Sloan of Sarnia. The church was decorated with bouquets of tulips and lilacs. A reception was held at the com- munity centre, where the bride's mother received the guests, wearing navy nylon with navy and white ac- cessories. She was assisted by Mrs. Jean Hetherington, aunt of the groom and Mrs. H. Goodhand, also aunt of the groom. Afterwards the bride and groom left for a wedding trip to the southern States. On their return they will reside at R.R. 3, Lucknow. WATSON—WOLFE A pretty wedding took place in St. Peter's Lutheran -Church, Brod- hagen, at 7 p.m., on May 9, when Dorene Luella Wolfe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lavern Wolfe, Brod- hagen, became the bride of Henry Dick Watson of Centralia, son' of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Watson, Cen- tralia. The altar was adorned with two bouquets of pink snapdragons and sweet peas, baskets of daffodils and mums. The pews were hung with pink, white and green ribbons. Rev. Mr. Becker officiated. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a Tong sleeved, floor -length gown of nylon net over satin with tight fitting -bodice and full skirt; the full length veil was caught by a charming picture style hat. She carried a white prayer book with orchids, small beads and streamers. Miss Roselli Connolly of Sebringville, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a yel- low floor length gown of net over rayon and small matching headdress or halo and she had a cascade of roses and baby mums. The brides- maid, Jean Siemon, of Walton,.was dressed bhe same as maid of honor, only .pink, tight -fitting bodice and full skirt. Her flowers were a cas- cade of roses and baby mums. The flower girl, Robin Sim, of Exeter, {niece of the groom) wore a pretty light -green, floor -length frock of net over rayon and her flowers were Colonial nosegay of baby mums. The best man was Dan Watson of Tor- onto, (brother of the groom) and the other attendant, Lorne Wolfe of Brodhagen, (brother of the bride). The ushers were Don Wolfe, broth- er of the bride, and John Watson, brother of the groom. Ringbcarers was Johnnie Hinz Jr. of Kitchener (cousin of the bride). The groom and all male attendants, ringbearer and ushers wore white flannel jack- ets, black trousers and boutonnieres of red carnations. Organist was 'Mrs. George Mogk of Brodhagen, and soloist, Grant McDonald of Exeter. who sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "The Wedding Prayer". The bride's mother received in a street -length frock of corded navy blue and white and corsage of red roses, and the costume of the bride- groom's mother was a street -length frock of dusty pink and corsage of pink roses. The wedding reception took place at Crystal Palace in Mit- chell. Assistants were :hiss Marie Myer, Mrs. Jno. Mogk, Mrs. Henry Diegel. Bride's travelling costume was a soft tan suit with cocoa brown and green accessories. After a short honeymoon they will reside in Ex- eter. Guests at the wedding were from Toronto, Detroit, Kitchener, Stratford, Grand Rapids, London, Saginaw, Exeter, Sebringville, chell, Monkton, Camp Borden, Kin- cardine.
