Dr. Norma Hopkinson and child-
ren of Lions' Head spent a. few days
this week with the foriner's parents,
Mr. and Mrs. N. E. Cook.
Miss Eleanor Cook, who has com-
pleted the nurse -in -training course
at Victoria Hospital, London, and is
spending a three -weeks' vacation at
the home of her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. N. E. Cook, spent a few days
this week in Detroit,
Mr. and Mrs. Don Rigby and Don-
na of Blenheim 'were recent visitors
with Mrs. Rigby's parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Stewart McQueen and Mr. and
Mrs. Harry Snell.
Miss Rhena Avery has been con-
fined to her room owing to illness.
Mrs. Glenn Koehler and infant
daughter returned home after spend-
ing a few days with her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Percy .Campbell.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Knight spent
the weekend with relatives in Sea -
forth.
Late Mrs. Gertrude Keen
Mrs. Gertrude Keen, Hensall,
passed away in Scott Memorial Hos-
pital on Wednesday, April 22nd,
where she had been a patient for
the past two weeks.
Born in Tuckersmith in 1885, a
daughter of Charlotte Leatherford
and John Murray, she resided in
Seaforth except for a few years in
Buffalo. For the past several years
she has lived with her daughter and
son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart
Bell. She was married in November,
1906, to George Henderson, who
passed away in 1018. James Keen,
her second husband, passed away
in C h r i s t i e Street Hospital,
Toronto, where he had been a pa-
tient for eleven years. Mrs. Keen
was a member of Edelweiss Rebekah
Lodge, Seaforth, and a member of
Egmondville United 'Church. •Sur-
viving are ono son, Harold Hender-
son, Buffalo, N.Y., and one daugh-
ter (Edith) Mrs. Stewart Bell, Hen-
sall; one grandson, George Hender-
son, Buffalo; two granddaughters,
Kay and Pauline Bell, Hensall; one
sister, Mrs. Elliott Walters, McKil-
lop, and two brothers, Rital, Seattle,
Wash„ and Walter, Dryden, Ont.
Funeral service was held from
the Bonthron Funeral Home, Hen-
sall, Friday at 2 p.m. conducted by
Rev. J. B. Fox, Hensall. Interment
in Maitlandbank Cemetery, Seaforth
Mrs, Richard Thurtill and family
moved to Leamington on Monday
where Mr, Thurtill has been trans-
ferred to the Bank of Montreal.
