The fourth meeting of the Wal-
ton Entertainers was held at the
home of Mrs. Holman on April 16th.
The meeting was opened by singing
"The more we get Together". The
roll call was answered by eight
members. Mrs. Holman and Mrs.
Humphries discussed formal and in-
formal teas. In the kitchen we were
showed how to make fancy sand-
wiches and how to arrange then for
serving. The meeting was adjourn-
ed after the serving of tea.

Mr, and Mrs. Martin Diegel and
Mrs. John C. Diegel of McKillop,

Querengesser, Mrs. Russell Sholdice,
also Mr. and Mrs. Harold Diegel of
Mitchell and Mrs. Ed. Kressler of
Stratford, attended the funeral of
Mrs. Howard MacDonald at Durham
on Monday. Mrs. McDonald was the
former Edith Diegel, born at Brod-
began 65 years ago, the daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. John Diegel.
She died in the Queen Elizabeth
Hospital, Toronto.
The funeral was held from the
Kress Funeral Home, Durham, on
Monday afternoon. Rev. J. F. Ro-
berts, pastor of Knox United
Church, Durham, officiated, and
burial was made in Durham Ceme-
tery. Her husband, Howard MacDon-
ald died in 1935.
Surviving are three sons, Orval,
Ross, Durham; Gordon, Kingston;
three daughters '(Mona) Mrs, Don-
ald Burgess, York Mills; (Edith)
Mrs. John Brown, Lansing; ((Mar-
jory) Mrs. Kenneth Clark, Toronto;
three sisters •(Katie) Mrs. Menno
Koppel, Port Elgin; (Laving) Mrs.
Simon Gingerich, Hanover; (Mar-
tha) Mrs. Alfred Harrington, Tor-
onto, and 9 grandchildren.
Mr. Henry L. Diegel, who was
confined. to Victoria Hospital, Lon-
don, for several days last week, re-
cuperated at his home for a few
days, and returned to work in Lon-
don on Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Rock and Jo-
anne, Mrs. Wm. Diegel and Calvin
and Mrs. Joe Smith attended the
Mitchell High School Graduation
Banquet in the Anglican Church,
Mitchell on Thursday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Sim, Bobby and
Barbara, Mr. and Mrs. Howard
Querengesser, Susan and Patricia
of Waterloo visited with Mr. and
Mrs. Russell Sholdice on Sunday.

day evening.

funeral of Mrs. Thede, the former
Lizzie Roppel, at, Underwood, last

was home for a few days with acute
tonsilltis,
Mrs, Wm. Miller spent last week
with her niece, Mrs. Leslie Heuer -
mann, McKillop.

Siemon in Thedford on Sunday
visiting friends,

Friday evening.
Mr. and, Mrs. Aug. Hillebrecht, on
Wednesday, entertained members of
their family, brothers and sisters
and neighbors to eelebrate the 50th
anniversary of their wedding,
Wayne Beuermann received the
following letter after putting his
name on an egg which he sold to R.
Sholdice's egg grading station.
Mr. Wayne Beuermann; Just re-
ceived a dozen of eggs today and I
believe it will please you if I write
to you to let you know where the
one you wrote your name on landed,
here in Rouyn, I figure the reason
why you did that, and I myself oft-
en wonder where all those eggs we
use so much and like so much come
from, I've been looking en the map
to find Brodhagen, but I can't see
where it is. So I would appreciate
very much if you would write and

ed home after spending a few weeks
with friends in Sask. and Manitoba.

Radar School.
