SPORT SHORTS
The league leadership was still
left undecided from Monday night's
Industrial League game. Merchants
stepped past Winthrop while St. Co-
lumban edged Egmondville.
In the first game St. Columban
toppled Egmondyille 7-4. St. Colum -
ban team dominated the play but the
goal tending of Ted Caine, in the
St. Columban nets was exceptional
at times and often robbed the Eg-
mondville team.
Merchants iced seven menus they
dropped the cellar dwelling Win-
throp club 11-6. Although Merch-
ants had one sub, they were at no
time pressed by Winthrop.
Next week should give the I.H.L.
a lone leader.
