The Ontario 'Provincial Winter
Fair, otherwise known- as the 'Guelph
Winter Fair, was officially opened on
Tuesday night, 'Nov. ', by ((-tort, P.

The 'largest entry list in 'ten

years has been .recorded and the show
is attracting visitors from all parts of
Ontario. 'Eleven Agricultural Socie-
ties were entered in competition class
for grain or seed. They are Brooke
and Ala -instant Society; Carrick, Col-
chester South; !Erin, .Fsquesing Socie-
ty, of Georgetown; Tilos Society, of
Elimvale; Markham, 'North Middle-
sex, Paris, South 'Waterloo and
Woodstock,- Twelve teams of Junior
Farmers were entered in :grain club it
competitions. Durham County sent
