VOLUNTARY H'O'SPITALIZA-
TIOiN PLAN FOR S. HURON
(Article ,111. ---By De. A. Moir)
In this article we 'will describe
more in detail the plan .by !which
subscribers may, for $15 per year ($t2
for children under 211) be entitled to
3 week,' free service at Hiieon
Springs Hospital, the central 'point of
the seven municipalities of South
Enron. Inthe Ifirs
t place we must
emehasize the fact t'ha't the project is
absolutely voluntary. There will be
no personal ranvaasin'g, no coercion
of any 'kind, or levy added to your
taxes, 'Our institution has already.
been built, equipped and paid for by
friends -of the 'sick and needy, and
who were public-spirited enough to
make this, their contribution, to
those in need. And so 'we are able to
offer to the citizens of South Huron
a service, even at a ouch lower rate
than in other municipalities that have
adopted this plan and where imposed
taxes and donations are needed (first,
—for building and equipment.
The advantages of our plan mar
properly be mentioned here:
(1) The small amount venni ted to give
sense of financial security, in case of hos-
pital need.
12) In the event of not needing hospital
care yourself, you will have ti,e opportunity
of assisting someone, who is less fortinnate,
and who otherwise could not afford hospital
Care.
(3) The convenient location, where your
own family physician ran continue his care
and also convenient for visiting friends.
The thought of being near home is a won-
derful help to recovery, and a great satis-
faction to immediate relatives.
(4) Quiet surroundings and country en-
vironment strongly appeal both to the
acutely 21, raid to the convalescent.
(2) You will feela sense of pride in the
maintenance of your own home hospital, and
will eo-operate in making It an asset in our
community.
Article 1.11, next week, will be the
last of this series. In it there ttil' he
answers to a group of question
which may have occurred to you in
the study of our plan, '''here will also
be an application form, which you
:nay cot nttt anal nail or giveto us
if you a islt, and which .will give you
•t eu oclenre in case more wish to
subscribe than we, at 'present, can
tray ids fur. \Vt: have at present a (S-
ited equipment and that only is spf-
licient for about one-eighth of the av-
erage hiapitalization requirements of
the e seven municipalities at South
Homo So that only one out of eight
of possible applicants can be ac-
cepted, Applications will he received
during the Months of July and Au-
gust, the service beginning Oct. 1
