to present them with a beautiful gift
of six dining room chairs ,and two
rooking chairs. An address was read
by Mr. (Fergus Connolly, after which
the presentation was made. An en-
joyable evening was spent dancing.

The Late Mrs. James Hamilton.—
There passed away on Saturday,
after an illness of about a year's dur-
ation, Mrs. James 'Hamilton. She
was 70 years of age and was born in
Hullett and was married t- her now
bereft husband in .11900 andby that
• union two daughters and two sons
were born, namely,. 3,1re. MeNeil,
-Toronto, Mrs. IMbettl Hill, Ottawa;
William on the homt*eati and Keith.
St. Thomas; also two 'slaters, Mrs, T.
Gibson, Wroxeter, axed, Miss Mary
Watt, Blyith; two brothers„ James
Watt and Robert Watt, of Blyth.
They moved to Myth several years
ago from Hullett. The late Mrs. Ha-
milton was a member of the United
Church. The funeral was held on
Monday from the home on Dinsley
Istreet. Rev, R. A. Brook had charge
of :the service at the home and Rev:-

, W. A. 'Gardiner of Londesboro at
the cemetery. The pallbearers were
six nephews, Leo Watt, George
Watt, Dean Gibson, Thomas Beatty,
John Leiper and Wm. Leiner.
Henry Bowen Passes—
The late Henry.Bowen passed
away after a lingerilig illess dr Sat-
urday at '5 o'clock. He was horc..

519th year. A tinsmith trade, and
when sixteen years out from England
he married Margaret Wright of Ses.-
