A pretty lune wedding txk place

as \Vil1iam CONN prd, son of Mr. 'Ind
fMrs. Geo. CO,vard, of Ilshorne. The
.ceremony was performed by Rev.
W. A. Young, of Carmel Presbyter-
ian Church, Hensall. The bride look-
ed charming in a gown of white silk
with hat, gloves and shoes to thatch,
and carried a bouquet of ophelia rais-
er and lily of the valley. She also
wore a ring that has been an heir-
loom in the family for over 200 year.
The nridentaid was Miss Alae Coward.
sister of the groom, and Mr. Bert Mc-
Bride, of Zurich. was groomsman.
Mrs. Harry Neeb, of Zurich. Played
the wedding march. After the cere-
mony a wedding dinner was served to
aoine 60 guests. After dinner, Mr. and
Mrs, Coward left by motor for Lon-
don And other points south. The bride
travelling in a blue flowered -silk dress
with white coat, ha't and other acces-
sories to match. On their return the
young couple will reside on the
groom's farm in 1'sborne township,
• and where they will have the best
'wishes of their many friends.

engaged for ever a year here with
B'onthron and Drysdale as tinsnrrh,
has severed his connection with that
,firm and on Saturday moved his fam-
ily back to their farmer home at She'
'bourne. We understand that Mr. Tra-
'riss has secured a good position at
Hamilton.
Reid-Taylor—
A quiet but pretty wedding took
place on Saturday afternoon at 2.30
at the rectory. Exeter, when Rev. W.
A. !Hunt united in marriage Annie,
daughter of Mr. and Airs. William
Taylor. of Hensall, and 'Norval L.
Reid. son of Mr. and Mrs. •Robt. Reid,
of Kincardine. The young couple
'were unattended. 'Tlhe bride's dress
.was a white silk crepe with accessor-
ies to match. After the ceremony a
wedding dinner was served at the
home of the firride s -parents. The same
evening. Mr. and'llrs. Reid '.eft on a
trip to Kincardine and other points.
Mr. and Mrs. Reid are very 'popular
hi this district and they have the 'best
*is'bes of their many friends.

A pretty wedding took ,place. on

Arthur Sinclair united in marriage
Margaret Layette., youngest daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kennings, of
Egnondville,' formerly of Hensall, and
,Alfred J. Smith, of Hay township.
The young couple were attended' by
Miss Iva Allen, of Hensall; and s1'r.
Clarence T. Reid, of' B'rucefield. The
bride wore a dress of 'blue flowered
silk with accessories to match and
carried a bougnet of roses. Theyvwili
reside on a farm near iHensall • and

A pretty outdoor wedding took
place at tie hoe of Mr. and Mrs,

when their eldest daughter Verde
Hazel, was united in -marriage to
Jack 13. Sinclair, only 'son of Mr. and
Mrs. William Sinclair, of Kippen.
The ceremony war performed under
an arch of - evergreen and ferns, with
'flower decorations of yellow and
bhie, The wedding march was played
by Miss Werne Watson, sister of the
bride. The bride, who was given in
marriage by her father, looked 'love-
ly in white silk lace over. Satin in a
princess style falling into a long
sweeping train. The veil o feet fell
from a pointed halo caugh" with a
coronet of orange blossoms. 'S'he car-
ried a bou'quet of iJ'ohanna Hill .roses
and baby breath. The bride's sister
,Aida was !bridesmaid in a picture
gown of •wallis 'blue net with puffed
sleeves and sash of blue and pale
pink with a corsage of rapture roses.
The groom was supported by 'Robert
1N71tgie, •of `Klippen. Katherine Cutt of
Ooderich made a dainty flower .girl in
a yellow georgette dress. Mrs. Wat-
son, mother of the bride, was dressed
in flowered chiffon. while Mrs. •Siuc-
clair, mother o'f ,the groom, also chose
flowered chiffon. ,Eight girl friend's of
the bride, the Misses Gladys Pass-
more Doreen Farquhar, Mabel
Workman, Mildred S'nnillie Mildred
Scrn'tan, Beryl 'Pfaff, Olga Bell and
N-aude McLean, o'f Herman, dressed
in yellow and blue and carrying or-
ange blossoms and streamers of yel-
low and blue, formed an aisle
through which the bridal party pass-
ed to the arch, The soloist was Miss
Katherine 'Drysdale of IHensall, who
sang "I Love Yon Truly," and was
dressed in yellow chiffon. Her ac-
companist w' Miss Ferne Watson,
who tore a dress of embroidered
sheer 'chiffon, The signing of the reg-
15ter followed. The wedding dinner
was served by the eight girl friends
of, the bride. The bride's table was
centered with the wedding rake, tall
Nue tapers and :blue vases of yellow
roses with streamers, also adorned.

was private took place from her late

During the mon't'h of July there
will he no service in Carmel ,Presby-
terian Church in the morning. Rev,
W. A. Young will preach in Caves
Church, Exeter, in the morning, and
will occupy his own pulpit in 'tire ev-
ening. in August, Mr. Young will he
away on his holidays, and a service
will be held in the church here, each
Sunday snorting, conducted 'by Rev,
Mr. Hill. of Exeter.

Death of Mrs. John 'Rowclilfe—
The death occurred on Saturday
morning at her hone, a mile south of
'Hensel on the highway , 'of Helen
'Rowdiffe, wife of Mr. John 'Rowclige
who has 'been ill since February. She
was a daughter of the late Archie
Bishop, for LLA. for South flatiron,
and was born on the 'B'ishop home-
stead, 3th con ., Usborne township.
73 years ago. !After her marriage in
.118913 to 'Mr, Row'cliffe, they moved to
Lot :314, Con. Ill, London road, 41s -
'borne, and resided there till b years
ago :their son 'Elgin took over t'he
home farms and they pure -liaised a part

following a stroke of Paralysis of
Elizabeth Hi.11en, a highly esteemed
resident and wife. Of James Morrison,
at the age of 64 years. Mrs. Morrison
was 'born in McKillop, the youngest
daughter of t'he late iMr. and Mrs.
James Hi'llen, and was married about
I34' years ago. 'Before 'her marriage,
Mrs, Hillen taught in the 'Niagara
Falls and. Lucan collegiate institutes.
She was an active member of Win-
throp 'United Church and a fife mem.
