milestone of 'their married life on

friends and neighbors called on them
at the home of their SOIL, 11r. Thomas
Butt at Kippers where• they are living
at present, and extended their' hest

•They remember it was fine Spring
weather at the time of their wedding.
lIrs, Butt has vivid recollections of
the Clay after the wedding starting out
with horse .and 'buggy to go from her
Mame to her new home further up the
road, when a neighbor wishing to add

tion, fired off a gun as she drove past.
The effect it had on the horse vas
startling and its capers gave the
young bride an anxious few moments.

Mr. David Ewan is making some
changes to his residence this week.
Mr, W. Griffiths is doing the work.
Mrs. Wm. Lyon held a very suc-
cessful missionary tea 'nlla Tuesday,
they also quilted a quilt in the after-
noon.
Mr. George McCall had a very suc-
cessful sale of his stock and imple-
ments last Friday afternoon.
FRANCIS MURPHY

Road lIr. (Francis Murphy passed

time 11r. Murphy had been failing in
health. Ete was in his Both year. His
father, 'Janes Murphy. 045 one of
the early settlers on the Huron 'Road,
now Highway No, 0. The late Fran-
cis Murphy was born and lived all 1114
life on the farm where his death oc-
curred, lot 3Q 0011. 1, Hibbert, two
and a half miles east of Seaforth.

Baker, widow of Rohn Baker, former-

years a resident in Westminster town-
ship, died Monday at the home of her

She was in her 76t'h year and had
